Pulling for SEC teams

Right. Playing in the most dominant conference by far doesn't help recruiting. Come on.

With our facilities and history as long as we win games we can bring in top-end talent. Conference affiliation has nothing to do with it.

Nope. it helps Alabama and LSU currently. If they were losing we would have a better shot of out recruiting them. Its really easy.

Really?

Care to be a little more condescending?

Not condescending.

Everyone worries about what their neighbor is doing. They don't realize that the whole conference, including their own school, is elevated by playing in a dominate conference. Recruits want to play on national TV every Saturday. They want to play in front of 100,000 people every weekend. They want to play at school with and against schools with tradition and history. They want to play against and with the best players and coaches in the country in hopes of making it to the league.

High school football nowadays are pumping out a lot more high quality prospects. There is more talent to go around. It isn't like the old days where one or two schools would get all the talent and everyone else had scrubs. Hence, you see the parity of college football (recently) much the same way as college basketball has experienced.

No doubt they are going to have good classes. That is to be expected. But acting like everyone loosing OOC games would help us is crazy. If the ACC or BIG 10 started to kill the SEC, you would see recruiting amoung all SEC teams diminish.

I don't care about other teams losing for a supposed recruiting advantage. I'd rather have the SEC winning, because recruits want to play in the best conference, not a conference full of cripples (like Bama in the 1970s when Tennessee and Auburn went into the toilet).

I want Tennessee to get back where it was 15 years ago and rise to the level of Bama and LSU, not for those teams to drop to where we are now. If they did, Florida and Georgia would just take their places on top, anyway.

I hope Bama kicks the ever-living sh*t out of those Little 10 phonies with their stupid helmets tonight, and I hope Auburn beats Clemson, too.

Nope it would level the playing field. They currently have a huge advantage and Espn and other outlets continue to ram them down our throats. They just happen to be in the Sec. The Sec is not a team its a conference.

Your glasses are a bit too tinted orange.

If you ever take a step back, without emotion for your team/school, you might be able to understand where I am coming from.

Yeah Ole Miss is reaping all kinds of rewards for being in the SEC. Dude winning gets you to the top not a conference. It plays a very small role in recruiting. See FSU, USC, Clemson, etc.

The SEC has been stomping the other conferences for several years now. In my best Dr Phil voice...how's that working out for us?

I found an exception to my rule. I want Vandy to lose against everybody. Especially Northwestern.
