Scout.com: Week 6 SEC: Florida at Tennessee

Basically says Florida is gonna pound it down our throats. And because Alabama embarrassed their defense will come out playing, limit their mistakes etc.

Florida 34.....Tennessee 27

They obviously haven't seen how UF rolls with Muschamp. They don't improve as the season progresses. Thinking that their defense will magically get better is a fallacy.

You judge a football team based on a lot more than the record. Both teams are where they were supposed to be, yes, but it matters how they got there. UF was supposed to easily be 2-1 with a good shot at 3-0. In reality they struggled with 1 game and got destroyed in another. We were supposed to be 2-2 with a good shot at 1-3. In reality we rolled a team we were supposed to struggle with and played UGA like everyone thought UF was going to play Bama.

You've got people picking us. You've got people picking Florida. A lot of Tennessee fans confident their team will win, a lot of Florida fans confident their team will win, vocal minorities of both fanbases acknowledge the chance that their team will lose...

I'm just ready to watch the game. Enough prognosticating, enough talking about line movements and jinxes and this and that. Let's do this!!

Wait, I'm not ready.

UF is 18-6 against UT since 1990. There alot of people that will go with the history of how well they have played against us in that span. The Vols will have to keep proving themselves week in and week out.

I feel like this is our best chance to beat the gators in a long time, but I think our fan base is so used to being a big under dog, that when we are finally picked to be close or win, people think the game is a slam dunk.

TN will have to play their best game and win the turnover battle to win on Saturday. UF still has amazingly talented athletes and more depth than we do at most every position.

i like the header too! "Week 6 Fearless Prediction"

it's pretty fearless picking a team that's won 9 in a row. clearly a lot went into this game analysis.

I'll believe we beat Florida when I see the final score.

After all we have been through the past several years you may need to wait even longer than after you see the "final" score.

They will come out and pound and pound? What Florida offense have they seen this year it sure as heck isn't the one I've been watching.

Prediction: This game is so tough to pick, because it’s very difficult to get a read on both teams. Tennessee played out of its mind against Georgia last week, and nearly upset the Bulldogs, but the only other Power 5 school it played was Oklahoma, and the Sooners were unrelenting against the Vols. However, the two games it was supposed to win — Utah State and Arkansas State — Tennessee won and barely even broke a sweat. Are the Vols as good as they played against Georgia? If so, Tennessee can take down the Gators.

If Tennessee is confusing, then Florida is a total enigma. The Gators wiped the floor with Eastern Michigan, needed three overtimes to beat Kentucky at home, and got demolished against Alabama. Sure, Florida’s offense looks much better than it did last year, but it still hasn’t looked great, and the defense hasn’t played up to its considerable potential yet. There’s also a ton of pressure on head coach Will Muschamp and starting QB Jeff Driskel, as people have been clamoring for a change at quarterback. Perhaps this is the weekend that Driskel comes out and silences his doubters.

In the end, Florida is coming off of a bye and is probably furious that it hasn’t received any respect this season. While Tennessee is a solid, well-coached team, Florida is more talented, and it just needs to put it all together. It also helps that the Gators have won the last nine meetings between these two schools. While we expect UT to go bowling at the end of the season, give us the Gators on Saturday in what should be an entertaining game.

Florida vs. Tennessee

Whatever. They need to rewatch the Oklahoma game. I don't think we win that game, but it was a lot closer than the final score says, IMO

Yo, StLouisVol. Where do you live? I lived there several years. Nice to see another Blue Note on this board. This will be the year of the Blues btw (I've been saying that every year :)).

If UF gets the breaks early and gets a decent lead, I think UT fights on and makes a game of it. Maybe we comeback, maybe we don't. But if UT gets up early, I see us winning going away if not a potential blowout.

Our crowd and their coach don't make for a very good combination for them to play well from behind. We need to jump on them early.
