Yo, StLouisVol. Where do you live? I lived there several years. Nice to see another Blue Note on this board. This will be the year of the Blues btw (I've been saying that every year :)).

Cottleville. It's between St. Peters and O'Fallon in St. Charles County.

The Blues will be good, but the way the west is, they have to be VERY good to get deep in the playoffs.

I never think about the Blues at all until the Redbirds are done. They're not done!!!! :dance2:

Florida scores 34 points if Butch substitutes Eastern Michigan for the 2nd half.

Ain't happening. I like the Michigan-Minnesota analogy, and it could happen that way.

I see us winning by 10.

If we can survive the initial onslaught, I like our chances. Florida could get frustrated if we can clamp down on them.

I have made my bets. All on Tennessee winning. I am 110% confident that I will be collecting come Monday morning.

The two computer simulations ESPN does in their pick center has UT winning 29-26 and 27-24. So pretty close on -3 spread and under on 55o/u

Our D has yet to give up 30 pts in a game this year

GA did. But our D played well outside of the last 15 mins of the game where Gurley ran at will. Honestly the first time this yr our D looked worn out late in the game. And played well against OU, especially the second half.

No our offense got them the points by fumbling in the endzone.

Whatever. They need to rewatch the Oklahoma game. I don't think we win that game, but it was a lot closer than the final score says, IMO

It definitely was closer than the score. If we score those 2 times that Worley got intercepted then at worst its a 27-16 score in the 4th. Or if we get a FG and a TD on the 3 its 27-20 with plenty of time in the 4th.

Very true I did forget about that. So that's 2 games in a row that the opposing team's D got a TD for them and changed the game.

Yep. Ours does need to step up. But there have been times in both games where our offense will spend a large stretch of the 3rd quarter going 3 and out. Our defense gets gassed.

Bad apart about the Turnovers in the GA game was we did nothing with either int. Todd's set us up in good position and did nothing with it. Where our turnovers gave their D a TD and we turned it over close to the redzone again. Honestly would love to see how both games would have ended if we take away our 3 turnovers inside their 25 and our turnover in our own endzone. We would most likely be 3-1 with a close loss in Norman.

Exactly. Was like the 3rd qtr playcalling, even before Worley got hurt had gone away from what had been working then we get behind by double digits and goes back to what was working early on. I understand wanting to establish a run game but if short and intermediate passes were working then why go away from it? That has honestly been my only complaint this yr, some of the bizarre play calling. But Coach Jake knows a helluva lot more than me. But even Griese questioned a lot of those play calls.

Brings up a good point, can't give away 6 again. I feel like our defense can hold them to 24 or less... can we score more than 24?

Only way florida would ever score that much is if we had a ton of turnovers.

I agree, the D held Oklahoma to less than 30, same for Georgia, so I suspect it'd be hard for the D to allow anything more than that. Could be a bad day and all that but so far...'tis the trend.

If Florida scores more than OU did on us, Jancek should be fired Monday morning. Absurd prediction.

One particular odds maker is certainly giving the Vols some love ~
"TENNESSEE 30 - Florida 23—With rapidly maturing UT gaining confidence
from highly-combative efforts vs. Oklahoma & Georgia, strongly believe the
resurgent Vols snap their 9-game series losing streak. UF’s beleaguered HC Will
Muschamp is sticking with laboring QB Jeff Driskel, who has been outplayed by
UT’s improved pilot Justin Worley (60%, 9 TDs, 3 ints.). Vols’ burgeoning frosh
RB Jalen Hurd (328 YR) is special, so look for underwhelming Gators to drop to
4-17 vs. spread last 21 on board. TV—CBS
(13-FLA. 31-Tenn. 17...F.20-12 F.56/215 T.23/66 F.11/20/1/167 T.14/34/4/154 F.2 T.2)
(13-FLORIDA -16 31-17 12-Florida +3 37-20 11-FLORIDA -9' 33-23...SR: Florida 24-19)

11 *TENNESSEE over Florida
Late Score forecast:
*TENNESSEE 35 - Florida 21
(Saturday, October 4)

It is not lost upon an increasingly disgruntled group of Florida supporters that the best QBs who have recently
graced the Gator program are instead now taking snaps at Boston College (Tyler Murphy) and NC State (Jacoby
Brissett). Left at The Swamp is Jeff Driskel (just 56% completions and a modest 5 TDP to date), who along with
under-fire HC Will Muschamp might require Secret Service protection from an angry “Gator Nation” if new
coordinator Kirk Roper’s “O” doesn’t begin to click...soon. SEC sources adamant that this is UT’s best chance in
years to break a now decade-long SU losing streak vs. Florida, as near-miss last week at Georgia suggests Vols
getting closer to the signature win 2nd-year HC Butch Jones needs to reignite program. Another solid effort like last
week ‘tween the hedges from QB Justin Worley (3 TDP vs. UGa) and they might be singing Rocky Top all Saturday
night in Knoxville.

FLORIDA at TENNESSEE...If Vols chalk note 3-9 mark at home in role since
2012 (2-4 for Butch). But Muschamp 2-5 vs. line last seven away from home.
Tech edge-UT, based on recent Gator road mark."

I quit reading the CFN article as soon as I saw this:

Florida (2-1) at Tennessee (2-2) Oct. 4, 3:30, SEC Network

They obviously know nothing! :mega_shok:
