There's literately no whine in my post. I was simply stating what I see. Never showed any disagreement with you in this thread. Now the tone in your post sounds very whinny way. How old are you and what do you do with your life. No respectful person speaks the way you do. Usually when you talk like that you get your teeth knocked out.

i would absolutely LOVE to see you try

it never ends...VFL baby one minute then throw them all under the bus the next. Ferguson hasn't played a game yet and is a only a rs Freshman while Dobbs was throw in the fire to early out of necessity. Obviously they both suck. How about just support who we got and roll with it.

First of all, I don't think Riley sucks. I think he has more potential than any of the others.

Dobbs doesn't "suck", but he has not shown me much to get excited about.

Worley...I don't recall much of anyone ever being excited about Worley.

Peterman, yeah I would throw him under the bus. You got me there. That was disastrous. I don't blame him though, he clearly was not ready to be in that game.

I hope someone shows up who can lead UT. I think Riley might with time. I am iffy on Dobbs but he can run a bit. I don't think he sees the field well at all though.

Anyways the young QB's need to improve a lot in my opinion and and I think Worley will do just fine as the starter. We need to see how Ferguson does in a real game though.

One spring game before the game all I hears was FERGI and after the spring game DOBBS, the only one that is done is PETERMAN the other 3 have a shot of becoming a decent SEC QB, we got to give them a chance remember CROMPTON, HE BECAME A VERY GOOD SEC QB, his last 6 or 7 games he played like a ALL American, I don't wont it to take 2 years but let them go threw summer and fall camp and a couple of games before we write any of those 3 off PETERMAN is not a SEC QB.

I mean if Ferguson plays like the second coming of Johnny Unitas then bah gawd I'm all for it, but I don't see where all of this hype is coming from.

if anyone here can go play qb better than any of our qbs go head. if you can play in front of the 68000 people for the first time and not be nervous well then your not normal. fergy will be fine in time. dobbs just has more exp. when fergy had time he made good reads and great throws. he still has to work on the mental part of his game befor he starts tapping into his potental

Youve got to be smarter than this.

Hes saying that Ferguson showed the most leadership but he still needs to see more leadership. Like hes showing 75% of the amount of leadership that Jones is looking for.... NOT that he doesnt fit the system. Jones is saying NOBODY is showing the standard of leadership that hes looking for, but Fergy is showing the most. You think he would publicly say something so negative about a player to the media that hasnt done anything illegal?

Now you're just making up random numbers that nobody ever even said.

Come on now Coug, you completely missed the point. Lexkyvol 100% misrepresented and twisted a positive statement (I say he flat out lied about it) CBJ made about Riley showing the most leadership among the QBs, even though it was not yet up to the standard he wants/demands and said that was an example of CBJ saying Riley "wasn't a fit for Tennessee football".

As a reminder, this is what CBJ said....

"I thought Riley had more leadership than any of them but not to our standard by which we're going to play quarterback here at TN."

From that, this is what lexkyvol said Butch said...

"....and that's why butch clearly said that his type of qb play is not what is appropriate at the university of Tennessee"

Lexkyvol gave that first quote an the example that proved that proved the second....and it was clearly a lie.

You surely see the difference and how the guy "twisted it" (being very generous here). Whether you love Ferguson, hate Ferguson , want him to win a Heisman or hope he never takes a snap at UT, he was wrong to lie about and miscast that quote by Butch. That's all we're saying, nothing more. It's one thing to honestly debate....he wasn't doing that.

POA just gave 75% as an example. He could've used 30%, he could've used 90%, that's beside the point he was making in showing that lexkyvol lied...again.

I think Ferguson's apparent inability to overtake Worley indicates that he won't overtake him barring injury. If the O needs something "different" because they aren't getting it done... then Dobbs is a more likely candidate than Ferguson due to his demonstrated running ability.

Short summary- Worley starts. Ferguson backs him up if the O is working but JW gets hurt. If the O isn't working then Dobbs probably comes on to add the running dimension to UT's O.

This is great, sounds like two 8 year old boys fighting over a ball!

There's a good chance both Worley and Dobbs both play this year, I could see the coaches using the talents of both by running a two QB system this season. Worley would be the starter, Dobbs would come in to keep teams off balance with his running abilities. I'm not saying it's a done deal, but something worth considering with Ferguson out of the picture.

I think it's a shame he's transferring; I wanted to see his game at some point in Orange.

It's clear though that O&W game was sending a message to him based on what LWS has said following the revelation.

I think the best can be said of this is that if the problems were there that have been indicated, its great that we part ways with him now, when we have the timing and opportunity to bring on 5* talent under CBJ - Riley leaving gives us a better shot at the top guys we have been after. Its both sweet and sour.

It's actually nothing but positive. The kid had the natural talent to earn the position but he never wanted to work for it. Eliminating that entitlement, stupidity, and laziness from the team is not a bad thing.

i don't understand the angst about a kid who never played and supposedly didn't care enough to put forth the proper amount of effort.

He was our great (unrealized) hope for the future - the one who would lead UT to glory again. And the only QB we have that had not screwed up terribly on the field (because he never played a down). Its not about who Riley is, its about who we HOPED him to be...and clearly, he was simply not up to it to become that.

Very well said. I never understood why so many were hyped up on Fergie to begin with

Never understood why other people get so worked up about what other people prefer...as long as we get the right guy behind center eventually...if forecasting and speculation is frightening and confusing?...might not want to navigate a message board!!
