'22 QB IN Tayven Jackson (Tennessee signee)

I would have liked to have Horn but I’m also happy with Jackson.

He’ll be a great player for us.

Horn is good but I like Tayven more as a prospect. Their arm strength looks similar but Tayven's release is quicker and more fluid, he's also a much better athlete (and bigger).

His numbers would be similar to Horn's but his school is notorious for having a run first mentality.

Salter...now that's a name Ive not heard...in a long time.
Man I wish we could've seen what Salter could do in this offense but unfortunately he couldn't

Edit: Sorry for the off-topic, we can get back to Tayven, kid reminds me of a taller bigger Spencer Rattler

Nice comparison. Jackson is not a polished as a passer, but a better athlete.

I think this kid will be a good one for us. It seems he’s been putting in work trying to recruit other players for this class, and that’s always a positive sign from a future Vol leader.

Hopefully Milton establishes himself as the starter for the next 2-3 years and Jackson is ready to step in after him.

high school coaches that still run that type of offense should be fired.

Buford High in GA runs that offense and they are one of the best programs in the state.

Bellevue in Washington same thing.

When you have a talent like him at QB, however....
Yeah you're doing the team a disservice by not changing it to fit his strengths more.

He plays for the #1 team in the state and they dog walked the #6 squad. They primarily run the wing T so they’re not really passing it often. Caden Curry, their star DL, is a monster.
Can you imagine having a nationally ranked QB as good as Jackson and wasting him in the Wing-T? That would be like having Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant and then running the four corners offense.

Oh it can definitely be successful, I just think you’re severely limiting the chances for your kids to play in college.
