'22 QB IN Tayven Jackson (Tennessee signee)

Just giving my opinion on JH off what I seen at UCF. LSU game got mentioned, I gave my opinion as to why it was irrelevant. You gave your opinion to why it is relevant. I can’t be fake positive when I’m confident we will be coach searching once again in a few years. I’m 28, we’ve been hot garbage Most of my life, I’m beginning to think I’ll never experience us being good. I am frustrated.
Go get a hooker and maybe she will help with some of your frustration :cool:

he will be here five years. he took this train wreck job, knowing it twer a complete rebuild

And that’s why you aren’t a college football head coach
He may be better than the ones we have today. I look forward to seeing what he does in the Spring, if he really is enrolling in January. Apparently, he can accurately throw the deep ball as well as the sideline throws. He can run but we need to see how well he reads defenses and reacts to the blitz.

god I hope we arent planning to have a frosh be our saviour again. that has worked soooo well in past. Kid needs to be onboarded more slowly.

Hell even Dobber wasnt thrown to the wolves.

We are building for the future and the way we have done it in the past 15 years has not worked. Need to do what is best for the future.

by handing the keys to a HS kid?
There are a lot of Freshmen football players who start and play well in their first year. We don't have the roster to red shirt every player like some schools. In fact, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State and others start Freshmen. Sometimes is is wise to play the best players, even if hey are Freshmen. In our case, there is no question it should be done.

Big difference between doing it in high school and college. Look at Clemsons QB. He is straight up garbage and he was the #1 rated QB in his class. Maybe Jackson is better than anyone we have. But I would much rather Heupel go into the portal and get another QB and let Jackson RS.

DJ U looked good last year. Have a feeling it’s not all about him. That OL is garbage

He looked great in mop up duty with NFL talent all around him after Lawrence skull drugged teams. Clemson has recruited as well as anyone on the OL. They are 4th in the 247 talent composite. There is zero excuse for him playing as bad as he is. Especially given the way they have recruited and the coaching staff at Clemson.

I’m not talking star rankings. I’m talking coming into the season that was discussed as a major concern and now they indeed look like dog sh*t

I hope he comes in and starts day one. Get bus tickets for the other ones and have them go to Fresno state.

Four touchdowns per game and one interception. OK for me. If we only win eight games next year I’ll shut up and be happy about it.

Bad coaching.
it is a complete 180 from what people were saying about Tony Elliot less than a year ago. kinda crazy. but there are legitimate folks out there now saying he's not that great and is part of the problem. he's getting the classic "it's not him, it's the talent" treatment in regards to the run Clemson has had on offense the past 5 years or whatever.

and i'm glad for it. need somebody in that top tier to fall of their pedestal and Clemson is as good as any candidate.

The speed and complexity of the game is such a huge jump from high school to college in general. He's coming to the SEC, which is the pinnacle of college football. It was stated at the ELITE11 that he was behind most of the QB's there from a developmental standpoint, but the natural gifts were prevalent. If we have to start Jackson day 1 we are in big trouble.

Clemson OL has always been garbage. 2020 was the 1st time they had a OL drafted since 2014. DJ looked good in one game when he knew he wasn’t the QB. Clemson is a lot like Texas was. Texas had Young and then McCoy. Watson than Lawrence for Clemson. Clemson better hope they don’t miss on highly rated QBs like Texas did.
