It could be that Milton is a great athlete, but not a very good QB. The more I see the more I see JG and that is not a very pretty good picture. I do really hope our QB play increases quickly and I don't care which of the three it is.You realize Heupel had months and years with them other guys and has literally just had weeks with Milton, right?
Plus coach has to get Milton to "unlearn" any bad habits and mechanics he has already developed...most of them other cats were a "blank slate" when Heupel got a hold of them.
Dunno if you can compare Milton and JG…. Milton can actually read a defense and hasn’t fumbled for a touchdown or thrown an interception for a touchdown….It could be that Milton is a great athlete, but not a very good QB. In the opening game, he may have been reading defenses but he was not seeing wide open receivers running all over the field. He had plenty of chances to complete more than 1 of his last 12 passes.Dunno if you can compare Milton and JG…. Unlearning bad habits is a lot harder to do then teaching good habits. One quarterback guru has already tried this in less competitive conference. Don’t see it happeningYou realize Heupel had months and years with them other guys and has literally just had weeks with Milton, right?

No clue who mark from Columbus is I lived in Orlando for 4 years and seen a lot of UCF. JH isn’t a very good coach you’ll all see what I mean with time. The penalties you seen last Saturday are a staple with JH. And if you can’t blame him for Milton being as bad as he is you can blame him for starting him just like we blamed the Gump Pruitt for starting JGI’ve said it multiple times, that dude has an agenda. He hates heupel and I’m pretty sure he’s the Mark from Columbus caller on Basilio. If he he is he’s a DA.
I’ll just give him more time, be reasonable, and formulate my own opinions if that’s alright. No clue who mark from Columbus is I lived in Orlando for 4 years and seen a lot of UCF. Basing my opinion off seeing him at UCF, I watched every game. However, coaches do improve over time, only time will tell. I’m just not optimistic, but I truly hope I’m wrongSeems you're pretty set in your opinion of him which is fine. Perhaps you'll turn out to be right. Perhaps you won't. I think I'll give him a fair chance rather than taking any unreasonable shots at him after just two games.
HS coaches get paid to win, not to be a college feeder program.Say what you want but I think running a wing T offense in high school is very selfish. It values winning over player development. I get it for some schools that really need to use it but schools that are a top 10 team in the nation and have multiple top247 recruits shouldn't be using it imo. It's kinda like running a zone defense in basketball for young, young kids. It will win you a ton of games because nobody can shoot at a high level but the kids don't get any development out of that system
So completely change your philosophy to something else that you don’t know will work or not.
When you have been teaching a system for years that you know works and have had kids being brought up in for 4 years….
I don’t understand your logic…. They aren’t pro athletes. If they want to “develop” they need to go to Camps and Develop there and join 7v7 teams and go to places where they can work on technique etc.
If you are a good player you will stand out.
At UCF huh..where he went 12-1 and would have went 13-0 if his All-Everything QB doesn't get hurt and have to play Mack at QB against LSU...oh and they lost by a TD..?Basing my opinion off seeing him at UCF, I watched every game. We ain't beating the Gators yet...there is just too much discombobulation right now imo.IT don't need a coach because he would be IT . They just get IT done. A lot of the IT players don't even have the proper mechanics . Hopefully Hupe can fix him quick, we need that ASAP . We're about to head to the swamp and I think the Gators are beatable.
I see all of what you're saying. ( If ) we have all of our guys back healthy we'll give them all they want as long as our QB is above average. Really think we have a good coaching staff from top to bottom,at the very least best staff in a long time.We ain't beating the Gators yet...there is just too much discombobulation right now imo.
You are right, they are beatable this year, but our team just has too many holes at too many spots, and too much new all over the field.
I would love to see it though...I will say this, if Milton could just see and hit wide open receivers for once..we really could win.
Our second string defense has to get better, in reality they are what killed us against Pitt, not the QBs.
Agreed...I just think that beating them in the Swamp right now with their staff having a three year head start is a big ask...I see all of what you're saying. Hopefully the staff can stay together long enough to have stability and build relationships with recruits. We will have to start recruiting better and have luck in the portal. Our last 3 coaches had pretty good staffs to start, but the heads got in there on way.Agreed...I just think that beating them in the Swamp right now with their staff having a three year head start is a big ask...
It is frustrating because you can see it is clearly doable, but we just have so many things to fix.
