QB Quinten Dormady

OK guys, finally a post worth posting. I was watching the Boerne (TX) Greyhounds vs Antonian Apaches High school football game on TV Thursday night and who do I see?--QB Quniten Dormady playing for Boerne (pronounced Burn--ee). Coach Butch Jones and another UT coach was there to watch him as he has already signed with UT and graduates in Dec and will be there for the Spring Semester. He is the real deal--think Peyton Manning except much faster, 6'4" and has a rocket for an arm. He scrambled several times and can make plays. He did throw 1 int but the receiver quit on the route. I'm telling you he's raw talent but he has the tools. MVP of the game--yeah, he was--almost 400 yards. It was televised on TV here in San Antonio; he was about all the announcers talked about during the game. Humble kid, but you heard it here first this kid is Peyton Manning II, but better.:dance2:

There will never be a Peyton Manning II, III IV or whatever at Tennessee....I said Never. So get over it.

One simple Reason: Dave Cutcliff

If Cutcliffe is the reason for Manning's success, why haven't all of Cut's qb's been at the top? Why have there been top qb's from other schools who have never heard of David Cutcliffe?

It's called talent, work ethic, football intelligence, and desire. Coaching is probably not at the top of the list. Was Lee Trevino's success due to coaching, or talent, desire, work ethic, and management of his golf game, and desire? Bubba Watson?? No lessons for Bubba. None for Trevino. I know that golf isn't football, but talent and desire together rise to the top of any sport.

Though manning had a terrible first NFL season, he's amazing now.

This kid may be good, but let's not be comparing him to Manning until he proves it. Might as well compare Jones to Neyland, or Hurd to Emmit Smith...

Who'd they compare Manning to before he became Peyton Manning?...Jeff Francis?

To the OP: Can he read a defense? Was he throwing into double coverage? Is he accurate throwing on the run?

From what I saw he was pretty accurate. He did throw a couple high in the 1st half and you could see he didn't like that. He corrected it in the second half and played better. A TV sportscaster asked him about it after the game and he said he just concentrated more in the second half and it showed. You never know how they will perform when they get to college but if i was betting I'd bet on this kid. I never saw him get rattled--at all. Stayed cool throughout. I doubt Butch was there just to give him something to do. If I get some game film or link I'll pass it on. For the naysayers, just remember you heard it here first and I'll gladly eat my share of humble pie if it doesn't work out.

I can't answer about reading the defense other than his stats and I don't have them but I think he threw for like 371 yards and don't remember how many TDs although he did run 1 in. He did have 1 int. He was pretty accurate when running to buy time and escaping when the pocket broke down. Even when running he was zinging that ball down the field to receivers; had no problem getting the ball to the receivers in traffic. Not afraid to zing it if a defender was right there with the receiver because he had the velocity to get it there pronto. The score of the game was 34-0. Did I mention he also did the punting duties? Wouldn't say he was world class but he didn't have any shanks off the side of his foot and did a decent job.

I hope he's everything you described and more! But it sounds to me like you're setting him up to be the next Rod Wilkes. JMHO hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I'm sure Peyton Manning would be sacking groceries if not for Cutcliffe.

He didnt sat Cutcliffe, he said Cutcliff

Totally different people

Cutcliff worked in a laboratory to create Peyton Manning from his parents DNA and the DNA from Zues and Hercules

Rodgers, Flacco, Roethlisburger, Newton, Kaepernik, Vick, Stafford, Cutler, RGIII, Luck, Brady all have better arms.

you named 11 out of 70+ qb's in the NFL...and I said 70+ because you started naming backups like Vick, and soon to be RGIII,and 1/2 of the 11 you named don't even have the arm Bray has...so like I said,he can spin it with the best of them...

Bray is a backup. RGIII has a cannon. Almost every guy I named are among the most strong armed QBs in the league. If you don't believe that then I don't know what to tell you. Look up strongest arms in the NFL. Vick will be in that list even though he is a back up.
