QB Quinten Dormady

Peyton isn't remotely mobile. Shuler was good throwing the ball and running it. Heath was maybe 6'2 and more solidly built compared to Peyton being over 6'5 and wasnt as bulky.

Their playing style wasn't very different. Kinda like comparing Manning to Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has better wheels, but thy play a lot alike.

Explain please. How were they opposites?

Oh and Peyton won a SB, long successful NFL career and Heath didnt. And thats no knock on Heath he is still one of my all time fave Vol Players. But they had different styles and builds.

One winning a Super Bowl and one not winning a super bowl doesn't equal two different styles of play.

But running wasn't the main part of his game. Just like Aaron Rodgers doesn't run a lot.

His Soph yr it was a huge part of his game. Had over 100 rushing attempts and only 10 passing TD's. His JR year his rushes were cut in half and had 25 TD passes.

Yeah, I'm sure Peyton Manning would be sacking groceries if not for Cutcliffe.

He did sack groceries in a commercial.

If Cutcliffe is the reason for Manning's success, why haven't all of Cut's qb's been at the top? Why have there been top qb's from other schools who have never heard of David Cutcliffe?

Ever heard of Eli Manning?

It's called talent, work ethic, football intelligence, and desire. Coaching is probably not at the top of the list. Was Lee Trevino's success due to coaching, or talent, desire, work ethic, and management of his golf game, and desire? Bubba Watson?? No lessons for Bubba. None for Trevino. I know that golf isn't football, but talent and desire together rise to the top of any sport.

Peyton had the tools but not the knowledge. He was given lots of latitude on the field with the Colts to do what he did and has become.

He didnt sat Cutcliffe, he said Cutcliff

Totally different people

Cutcliff worked in a laboratory to create Peyton Manning from his parents DNA and the DNA from Zues and Hercules

Yea I dropped the "e" which is silent. Sorry about that.

Tough crowd, however most of you would argue with a tree or wall and bang your head against them and think the wall was bleeding instead of your own head.

It the Manning Family chose Cutcliffe then they had good reason to do so. A very prominent NFL family of QBs and the family hand selected a coach to walk them through the college process. Both were talented but Cutcliffe provided growth and knowledge.

Yes, I have heard of Eli Manning. Have you ever heard of :
1)Romaro Miller
2)Ethan Flatt
3)Michael Spurlock
4)Robert Lane
5)Thaddeus Lewis
6)Zack Assack
7)Mike Cappetto
8)Sean Renfree
9)Sean Schroeder
10)Anthony Boone
11)Brandon Connette
12)Mackenzie Sovereign
13)Thomas Sirk
14)Parker Boeme
15)Kane Banner
16)Robert Collins
17)Quay Charles
18)Nicodem Pierre ?

They all had the same hands on head coach as Eli Manning, but for some unknown reason haven't had the same success. Could it be talent, maybe????? If it's Cutcliffe's coaching, why didn't that incredible qb coach turn these guys into Super Bowl champions?

Does anyone else know that Eli sucks? :eek:lol: He is "turrible". I would get a pro look if I had the same DNA as Peyton, doesn't mean I'm a great QB.

The worst thing that could happen in the history of football is Eli retires with more rings than Peyton.

I'm near Dallas and the closest Boerne plays to here is at Liberty Hill on October 24. I'm so there for that game!

Whatever....

Lol. Peterman is your likely starter next year. He'll be solid.

He is graduating in December and has two years of eligibility left. He won't have to sit out a year if he graduates and transfers. The coaches need to let him know he's the starter for next year or he'll be gone.

He's in a serious relationship. He knows where he stands in the lineup. I doubt he goes anywhere.

Totally agree with all of this. Saying Cut was the reason for Peyton's success is beyond laughable. Was he a part of it? Yes. However Peyton had the attributes that coaches just cannot teach.

Isn't that the truth and he was surrounded by talent. When you throw it 40+ times a game interceptions happen. Not concerned with Dormady's int's right now. Sounds like he doesn't have a lot of help. Think we got a good one!

No it's not the truth. Are you talking about when he was at UT? Peyton threw 33 INTs in 45 games. While throwing 89 TDs in the same amount of time.

To theorist though, I am not that worried about QD. Once he gets on campus, he is going to be fine.
