Randall Carroll

Meachem was 6'3", 220 lbs with legit 4.4 speed... no, this kid is no where near that level yet.

It is worth noting that the comments he made here favorable to UT don't seem to have been made in the context of trying to please anyone. They were ostensibly made to a reporter about the process itself with no particular school in focus.

did we have the exact same people on the o-line as we did last year that only gave up 5 sacks.i cant remember?

Well it's easy to boast about Meachem when talking about his final season at UT and not the three years he did very little to nothing. But as an incoming freshman, it's hard to not say that Carroll has "legit" Meachem potential. Only we need to hope it doesn't take him 3 years to live up to it.

Wonder how much things might have been different if he'd been the OC this past year?

We would have beaten Auburn and of course Wyoming

I really really like this Carroll guy and how Kiffin is able to draw the eye of many top recruits

Carroll is a stud. I still wonder how all these recievers look at us when we dont have a QB to throw them the ball. But Carroll could be used in so many ways. He looks like a hell of a runner with the ball too, you could try different formations with ways to give him the ball. He looks way more dangerous than any other receiver we are recruiting

Well folks if he comes then it will be amazing. I would rather be talking about how many atheletes we have than we don't have.

i know this seems crazy.. but if we had a little offense at all this season its hard to say we couldnt have possible gone undefeated or finished with one loss

I believe he's more like Percy than anyone else we're recruiting. I dont see him as a pure wide out but I dont see him as a pure RB either. Reggie Bush/Harvin type role.

Meachem's 40 time in the NFL combine was 4.39 which is remarkable for a man his size.

Remember, when Meachem first got here, as a true freshman, he was the best receiver in fall practice that year (2003). Better than Banks, better than Jones, ect. Had he not injured his knee he would have been a starter. I think that that injury set him back 2 years. Had he not hurt himself he could have been the best wideout to ever play for us.

sort of an old thread, but none-the-less, i'd be ecstatic to get him. not really even because of the player or person he is, but because of what it would say about CLK, and this year's class.

If he doesnt commit somewhere before we get a visit i think he is ours.......he doesnt seem to care about distance.

Obviously distance is nowhere near a concern in his mind with USC being right in his backyard.. i just dont see how it could get any better for a recruit who is concerned about distance
