When asked what stood out about Tennessee most in his talk with Reaves, Carroll said it was Reaves' boss.

"The biggest attraction at this point is coach Kiffin," Carroll said. "His offense is what they are running at Southern Cal. He is taking that to the SEC. Coach Reaves talked to me and showed me how they use receivers in the offense and pointed out what coach Kiffin did with Mike Williams as a freshman and a sophomore. Coach Reaves said that is how they would like to use me."

While Reaves was the coach making in person visit last week with Carroll, it's not the only coach that 12th ranked player nationally has visited with about the Vols.

"I have talked to coach Kiffin on the phone," Carroll explained. "In fact we have talked quite a bit about things. I have enjoyed getting to know him and am looking forward to visiting with him in person."

Well that's it then....Close out the Marlon Brown threads and tell coach to quit recruiting him, might as well pull the official visit too. If Tennstud said it's over, than why are we wasting our time?

Brown sounds like a pretty immature kid who is either milking the process or playing the part of the homecoming queen choosing between prom dates. Either way, he'd be a fool to choose UGA. This year the Dawg fans feel their team underachieved. It is only a matter of time before they start viewing Richt like many Vol fans viewed Fulmer... especially since he's only beaten UM once.

Beyond that, Brown has no chance of taking top billing from AJG.

Word I hear is that baring florida blowing him away last weekend that carroll will commit to cal this week.

He is already committed to them.

Is he for sure coming on the visit on the 30th? I don't have accounts with Rivals or Volquest so I didn't read all of it. I just saw that we sent Reaves out there.

He is committed to Southern Cal as of now.

IF anyone has paid attention to his recruitment at all, they will notice his list changes weekly - last week at the Hawaii / Mainland game he was talking up Florida and UGA and talking trash on UCLA. This week he suddenly has Tenn and ASU on the list. Next week his visits and list will likely change again. There have been only two consistent teams on his list USC and CAL. IF he doesn't end up at USC, he will go to CAL.

It would be awesome if we could land him. There has to be something going on behind the scenes( @ USC) for him to come visit us. This could be huge.:thumbsup:
