Randall Carroll

The visit went well enough that the 5-foot-11, 175 pound wide out will be in Knoxville next month to see things up close.

"The biggest attraction at this point is coach Kiffin," Carroll said. "His offense is what they are running at Southern Cal. He is taking that to the SEC. Coach Reaves talked to me and showed me how they use receivers in the offense and pointed out what coach Kiffin did with Mike Williams as a freshman and a sophomore. Coach Reaves said that is how they would like to use me."

williams is about 4 inches and 30 pounds heavier. i'd hope that isn't how they are going to use carroll.

They've got to be talking about the zombie screens that they used to run to Mike Williams. Also maybe talking about how they just got a good player the ball be it a freshman or a senior.

I talked with Cathedral (Los Angeles) wideout Randall Carroll on Saturday, who spent a lot of time in our suite with some of his coaches. One thing is very clear and that's Carroll is wide open in his choice of schools. To be honest, Carroll really didn't sound positive about any of the schools he talked about with the exception of Tennessee. He said he'll take January trips to Tennessee -- he spoke highly of Vols coach Lane Kiffin -- Arizona State and possibly Florida.

Not to be an ass but your source is ESPN? This is somewhat old news.

Couldn't this have been posted in the Randall Carroll thread? If you had looked for it, you would have seen that everything you have had to add is already known. Not trying to be a jerk, but it just takes a little search.

Maybe if Mike Williams wasnt that big he would have been even more dominant and actually made it in the NFL.

Carroll would start day 1 here and you know the WRs already on campus have to be at pucker factor level 10 right now knowing they are not going to be given a starting spot.

Ahh come on Sabanocchio, if it wasn't for the jerk posts this forum would be half as small.....:post-4-1090547912:

I dont understand why they used the BMW comparison.
They are nothing alike. Would have been better served to use a Steve Smith ,WR Giants, comparison.
Not to mention he is doing better in the pros than BMW.

But they do get paid to do this so they would know better than me.

Im excited to get spring practice under way and get this staff working with these players and expose the talent that we have had over there at the end of the bench

I have to agree - I know it sounds a little petty but it is pretty dumb to recreate a thread with all the same info in it.

Simple.. they use the most well-known player to relate to the recruit.. remember the one-handed grabs mike williams used to make at usc? recruits remember watching the exciting plays like that and when kiffin mentions Mike Williams he probably instantly thought he could be as exciting as Williams at UT...nothing really stood out about steve smith at usc to the recruits

well least the info is new and not filled ith garbage that most people posts that hs nothing to do with the topic at all... anyways attitude does not mean you wont make a good teamate or will get in trouble it means he is confident in wat he can do... this would be a huge get imo did anyone rememeber wat jackson did to us last yr if this kid is anything like him it would add star power to a team thats needs it
