You must be watching your JP Penny's videos from 10 years ago. There are plenty of players from non-powerhouse programs that could easily contribute to this offense.

I played with him in high school and he was not ready for UT coming out of high school. I'm very happy things have turned out as they have for him however.

Probably true, and his track to the NFL was helped by the fact he went to Wake Forest where he was probably "valued" initially more than he ever would have been at UT. But the fact remains that if he had enough talent to make it to the NFL, one could guess he would have been at least a decent, contributing OL here, regardless of what other OL we had during his time in college.

I'm sick of hearing how every in-state guy who does well at another school would have never got playing time here, especially with Cobb and considering our crappy offense.

I know Randall's a tough guy, and I liked his work in "Raising Arizona", but I just find it hard to imagine him being a legitimate prospect to play at the SEC level...not at his age.

I wish him all the luck in the world at UK, but I think he should stick to acting.

If Cobb is the 18th best player in the state, the TN has more football talent that most are giving us credit for.

I mean, he was just a 3* athlete, so I can see maybe not signing him, but not even looking at him is just awful.

Much less when we let 2 of the top 3 guys in state go play for Saban.

Maybe... maybe not. But to say not even close to the best player in the state is ridiculous... He at least belongs in the same conversation as Hightower (if not better than Hightower).
