For all the folks who ripped Cobb in this and other threads, I hope you saw the KY game today. UTK would be blessed to have such a versatile athlete.

Gerald Jones, Lucas Taylor, Eric Berry, Dennis Rogan, Brent Vinson, Demetrice Morley, Ahmad Paige, etc. We have plenty of guys like him.

I agree. He looked pretty impressive for UK today, but he wouldn't see the field for us this year except for special teams

Oh. my. goodness. Three catches against a 6-6 team with an awful defense. Unable to help the offense score a single touchdown until the game was already over. Just four words: Give him the Heisman.

GJ only had three receptions once last year and we've pretty much annointed him the next great TN WR. Let's just come to grips with the fact that a kid who we may have possibly wanted just a little bit... chose to go to KY instead. And at least admit that while he may be a bust, he also has the potential to be a great player.

We wanted him so much we didn't even offer him a scholarship until the last minute.

So you don't take a great athlete because you have some others? I don't get it.

Cobb did what was best for Cobb. He would not have seen the field for 2 years here. He went to UK to get immediate playing time.

I wish him well, but it's not like Tennessee is lacking in WRs. The chances of Cobb playing a full season at QB are slim to none at UK.

How many scholarship WR's do we need? How many did we need last year? I'm glad he went to UK because that leaves us with an extra scholly for this year to possibly pick up a DL/OL which is more of a need.

If Randall Cobb was from Chesepeake, VA, VolunteerHillbilly would have never made his post.

Cobb is good. I think that he will be a great player for UK. I was glad to see the local boys getting some time on ESPN cause they hate Knoxville so much. Why are we so quick to hate on guys that we were amazed by on Friday nights? Louisville looked horrible as well, i thought that qb was gonna be as good or better than Brohm...
