Anything. I finger pick a few songs=Alices's Restaurant, Stagger Lee, Malaguena etc, do some ZZ Top, play some Eagles, I've played the Joe Walsh Funk 49 since it was released, I do some Pure Prairie League, Marshall Tucker, Heart, Skynyrd, a lot of Willie, etc. Just a mixed bunch of stuff. I do some Gilmour Pink Floyd. Not the hard stuff though. He's incredible. I go acoustic and electric. And, Bob Dylan, of course.

Do you like playing acoustic or electric more? You pretty good?

Sly is the Charlie Beckwith of the Zone

Pass SFAS then worry about it. Actually, pass SFAS then worry about it. You seem mentally very capable, buddy. But you need to fight Golden Gloves before you go pro, if you follow.

I know I'll have to start small. I just don't wanna settle for basic stuff if I do it. I wanna go for broke.

I really think I could make it through SFAS. I am pretty good physically, or could be at least, but I'd excel because of my mind. With that type of test, it is about reaching your limit and then setting new ones.

Depends on the song. I think I like electric better overall. Still like a lot of acoustic stuff. Not as good as I used to be but can still hang and draw some looks when trying out guitars at Guitar Center.

I've got a friend who is amazing on either. I bet you can play really well. I just like watching all my friends get together and jam.

It's amazing how many break a leg riding the wire from the tower to the ground in training.

My grandpa was in the 6th battalion sized class of paratroopers the Army ever had, there was a divot by the tower that the Cadre said was a guy who focked up.

He always wondered about that.

I grew up with music all around. I had cousins and friends in bands that could listen to a song and then play it. It amazed me. I was in some bands back in the day and had a blast. You definitely meet a lot of people that way and it opens some weird doors sometimes.

If I would have met these guys sooner, ole new would be something to see on the guitar.

Can't imagine what he did to do that. Damn. His line must have come loose or broke and he free fell down. Seems like the training towers were around 35'-40' or so.

Fuuu, I may do this. I think I'm going to finish school first and check out job opportunities.

Honestly, man, I can tell you're bright. You're young, and you're worried about your folks, but that is a normal thing, but outside of that, I think you're bold.

You hint at service often, I would really like for you to cross talk with therealUT, I believe he was a ROTC guy, Ranger qualified, who led a combat company in Iraq.

Going enlisted will wipe your student loans clean, and remember Forrest Gump...you'd be a waste of a great Enlisted Man.

Odds are it was a hole they dug, but still, in pre Pearl '41, when the Airborne was an experiment, who's going to believe otherwise?

I don't have any loans yet. If, after college, I decide to do it, will they pay off anything I do have?
