Was just thinking about that this morning on my walkabout.

I have a playlist for the first time in my life, actually 3. "Rock Walk" has 162 songs. "Country Walk" has 58. "Gospel & Religious Walk" has 36.

One artist has songs in 2 playlists and has more songs total than any other artist by 3 songs. AC/DC is number 2.

House going up next to me sold for 940k. Average price in my small sub 1 year ago was 550-600k. Neighbors are staring to sell and move out, and are asking 1MM or more. So, today I called my agent and asked her to look for lakefront property, a townhouse that has a boat slip. And then I will see where I can set the price... I am shooting for a number with a 1 and 6 zeros after it. My house has so many upgrades and the trim and molding is outstanding and over the top. But I rode through the lakeside complex and did not see any homes or townhouses up for sale. Timing to take advantage of those feeling CA, OR, WA is near its peak, and they are in a bidding war to buy. We shall see.

Is it good though? And I'm not disagreeing, That was my first thought, but I did think about it a little more.

His mom and dad are gone. $900,000 at his age could guarantee a comfortable life in his remaining years. I mean, is it really that important? Worth it to live in the middle of all that, just to "show them"?

I don't know, especially now that the parents are gone and it's just a house. A hurricane this summer could wipe it out.

That’s true. But watching so much being torn down and trammeled (literally and figuratively), gone forever, gripes my soul. Ole lady grumbles.

I gave up those sentiments in S. FL long ago. I moved there in 1983 and Port St. Lucie Blvd. was literally a 2 lane road. It's 6-8 lanes now. Some of the state parks that were going to remain "Pristine Forever" are now condo communities. FL is the land of sell your soul to make a buck. I know there are other places but that is the one that I am most familiar with. The dude with the house should have made an agreement with the condo peeps that they would give him a unit the same size as his house with the same view on the 3rd or 4th floor in exchange.

After the 2008 crash, I saw a lot of homes going for ten cents on the dollar in SW FLA. We are probably going to experience something much worse in the next couple of years.
