I’ve wanted to take the train to Truckee from the Bay Area for a long time. I nearly did last month but decided I would do it later in my stay.

Unfortunately, now is not a good time due to wildfires. The skies are ‘apoplectic’ so the views would be nowhere near as good. And Tahoe has the worst air quality in the nation right now.

Caldor fire I believe? That has Hwy 50 closed. Hope her house makes it.

It is fine now. There has been smoke the last few days, but not terrible. I think it was not as bad today.
