The timing of discussing the details of the Memphis plans wasn't a coincidence for sure. They sat on them for months waiting for Nashville to disclose their request for state funding....

Memphis 901 FC announces plans for new soccer specific stadium

the only issue is that this area doesn't have any good establishments around like downtown, which kind of sucks. I also know that every single thing this local government builds goes over budget. That being said a new stadium home would be awesome.

Also I just bought playoff tickets for Saturday! LFG!

There's a good bit of support for 901 FC but there was also a lot of support for the Redbirds early on too.

In a city with the issues Memphis has, spending 9 figures for a minor-league soccer only stadium that is used 15-20x a year doesn't make economic sense...
