I personally don't like his offensive strategy......he doesn't like to open up the offense from what I have seen.....I mean we have 5 big play receivers and 4 awesome running backs and an offensive line that can REALLY move a buffet....so I would like to see someone else come in and run our offense...... hey Cutcliffe is on the market I think........lets bring him back and let him lick his chops with our athletes now :good:

Did you happen to see any of the last 4 games of the year when we averaged 35 ppg with a 3rd sting QB?

BTW - Cutcliffe works for Notre Dame.

Coach Cut is now up at Notre Dame. Sanders learned from him so I don't know that his philosophy would be any better now at UT.

I lost alot of the remaining respect I had for Sanders after the ND loss this year with his postgame comments. On the critical 4th down play that we did not convert, he was asked why he did not have a different RB in at that time of the game. His response was "you will have to ask Trooper about that, I don't know what back is in when I call the plays" (I don't have the exact quote, but was very similiar to this).

Anyway, you mean to tell me that you are the OC for the University Of Tennessee and have a critical 4th down that determines if you win or lose a game on national television and you don't know what personell is on the field?? But yet he was quick to take credit for the critical play just before halftime that turned the tide at South Carolina. Thinking back on it, I don't know that I have ever heard him take responsibility for any of UT's shortcomings on offense.

Other schools have come calling for the services of many of our assitant coaches and even our DC John Chavis. Why no interest in Sanders? I think because they know outside of great playmakers at UT, his overall talents as a coach and play caller are marginal at best.

He needs to go!!!!

i say that we did open up the offense the whole year. i font know why he just now decided to open it up. could you imagine if he would of open it up last year or the year before that when casey clausen in there. hw would be in the nfl now. i think sanders has finally heard us and is feeling us bring down his neck.

Twilight zone for 2 reasons:

1. This fire RS thing will ressurrect SARGE from the end of season venting.
2. Trying to understand his posts (2345).
3. We've come full circle on these bash posts in less than a month.

 Agreed and let me add this. Fulmer likes Sanders. Fulmer feels comfortable with Sanders. Sanders isn't going anywhere, so I think that acceptance is the way to go here.

If your bored, scroll through the old posts of Novemeber and December to find all the bashing threads. They are numerous. Alot of people that want to run off CC just don't realize..He HAS graduated. Not here. If you like him, great. If not, he is gone. I assure you. As for RS, we'll just have to wait 'til September to jump start him again. :p

Keep him! 2-1000yard rushers and average of 9 different players catching passes per game, all this with a decimated OL? Ain't nuttin wrong with his strategy. Heck, those numbers are brilliant considering the 2 freshman QBs and the fact that our best QB may have been on the bench most of the season. Those numbers are not conservative given the situation we were in.

Give RS a healthy OL and a QB that has the capability of utiliziing the play book, reading Ds and making timely check-offs and we get what we saw in Dallas.

its not just sanders fault. casey clausen caused alot to b.s. and by the way fulmer actually yeas or neas all the offensive plays. if we dont get it done on offense this year then we need to look around and say hmmmmm. WTF.

oh and by the way my man TROOP. if he stays around will probably be head coach one day. anyone agree?

heck..let's get rid of sanders and make trooper the OC...at the very least he could get them fired up on the sidelines

I think Sanders is a good position coach. He got Ainge playing very well in a matter of a month. Schaeffer even looked like he was actually looking to pass (if just a little) after RS had worked with him.

You guys could NOT have this topic with out my :twocents: . I have bashed RS since i joined u on the VN and am now going to let you do it now. He sucks as a player, is decent as a position coach and is absolutely NOT a co-ordinator. A good man, yes. A good coach, fair. OC, "i have to laugh." :gun: :bash: :puke: :pukeb: :lame: and RS for OC,
