Point of clarification--actions involving football players put the entire university on probation with their accrediting institution in 2004. There are bunches of individual articles summing up each of the various jail sentences, but this one sums it all up pretty nicely:

I wasn't debating any of the other, nor claiming either Kiffin the best ever. I was just getting at your comment about this year's D vs. last year's. I think this defense was a little better, but late season decimation killed them statistically.

Ok...fine with that comment. Monte will be evaluated more when "his" players are on campus and his system has a chance to work. He did a great job with what he had to work with...for 1 year. He has the best mind on D...but lets see how it translates to college after a couple years. I think it will work great. But not top 5 ....YET!
