1) Saban (until the cheaters drive him to Notre Dame)
2) Kiffin (no doubt about it,and will prove it with another couple of classes)
3) Petrino ( He will jump out of Hogville at his first chance)
4) Chizik (as long as Malzahn (sp) is on his staff)
5) Bobby Johnson (who else could go 2-10 with no mention of hot seat,what a stud)

6-12) All the rest including the little biatch in Gaysville,oops I meant Gainsville. He will be exposed next season once Tbag,Strong and all the other infidals move on. The football program will go the way their B'BALL has!!! LOL!!!

Why wouldn't you include an area directly under a coach's control that is responsible for about 80% of his team's success?

I was waiting for somebody to bring up Bobby Johnson, the genius of coaching no matter how many games his teams lose.

Here's a thought--if either of those guys actually were any good and just hamstrung by such lousy universities, shouldn't some big name school have swept in and hired them away by now?

That was my attempt!!!! I hate Meyer and won't give him any credit ever, just a fans opinion!!!!!! We'll see when Strong leaves and his first class goes what kind of coach he is!!! Better players does not mean better coaching. Saban is the tops and Kiffin is on his way to the top and gonna step on Meyer on his way!!!!! LOL! GO VOLS!!!

I will get yelled at about this post.....

But why are so many saying Monte is the best coach in the SEC? UT'd D is worse than it was last year. I know the talent is not the same and injuries...but it is still not was it was vs. a 5-7 team. Come on!!!

Brooks, Sapp, and barber are not comming to UT!

Honestly, I don't see how you rank any coach who came to a school and showed marginal improvement and promise in his first as CFHC year against veterans. That would eliminate Kiffin and Mullen, and you could argue the Chiz needs more evaluation time as well.

As for Monte, I think the guy is as good as advertised, and I think he did a good job this season with a MASH unit defense that wasn't that stellar healthy, but it is a little silly to evaluate heads and assistants against one another.

Agree! Thank goodness UT has Monte...without him CLK would not be here.

Chiz DC / AU 02 - 04...DC / TX 05 / 06 (look at the records) is all the evaluation he needs. Iowa ST is a hell hole for recruiting. He just went there for a stepping stone. Chiz is the third best and im not so sure hes not second.

if you're counting records while he was a coordinator then you really won't like Kiffin's. Plus add in the records of Saban and Meyer and there's no way a sober person picks Chizik

Well I dont drink, Im to perfect, I say Chiz is that good cuz I can see whats ahead. Some people are dense, I dont give a dam what Meyer has done and bammer trash cheats to get where they are. That crap is fixing to come to a halt.

Monte hasn't even been at UT a full year. Give him a break. The guy's a defensive mastermind. He will be one of the best in the SEC, no doubt about it. Give him some time with the defense. Also, it's hard to have a top defense when your playing your 3rd string, freshman AND a walk-on.

Those idiots have been on probation countless times, and are still sitting on probation. Their arses should be on the death penalty right now. The rest of the sec is not on a level playing field with them doing that crap and its time we all put a stop to it.

Auburn, on the other hand, has been on probation countable times, if Auburn grads can count to 7, with the last being 2 years beginning in 2004.

Glass houses are especially dangerous on the Plains.
