The same way that Bammers believe they have 12 National Championships.
Just out of curiosity, what is yalls reasoning in putting Saban 1st? He's between 1-2 no doubt about that. Bama has been a damn good team since he took over, but Florida has as well since Urban took over from the Zook years. In Urban's tenure, he's won 2 national titles (on the verge of winning a 3rd), 2 SEC titles (on the verge of winning a third), coached a Heisman Trophy winner (still in the running to win a second and imo won't).
Saban has resurrected a down LSU program and won a National Title and SEC title, and has led Bama to 2 undefeated regular seasons. Bama lost their bowl game last season.
For those that have posted, please put your reasoning behind why Saban, or Meyer, or Kiffin deserves the number 1 spot.

I'm fine with all that but Miles. He's terrible.By the way, Here is my top 5, and I'm looking at overall record as SEC head coaches.
1) Urban Meyer. What he's done so far is amazing by any standards. 2 BCS and 2 SEC titles. See my comments above.
2) Nick Saban. See my comments above.
3) Les Miles. I;m going to get hell for this, but I'm sticking with it. He won a national title with Saban's players, but he still won.
4) Houston Nutt - Led Arkansas to winning seasons and an SEC title appearance. Ressurected (somewhat) a struggling Ole Miss program.
5) Steve Spurrier. I'm, including his Florida record here as well. He's faded somewhat, but has shown signs of brilliance lately.

Mark Richt, Kiffin, Chizik
Reason I left Kiffin and Chizik off my list is because they haven't coached but one year. Kiffin did an outstanding job, IMO, and will prove to be on this list shortly. It's hard to judge them now because they only coached 12 games thus far.
1) Meyer.
I believe he out schemed saban but having 2 field goals blocked is completely due to coaching. Thats just mine and most people outside of the vol nations opinion.
Fair enough. I think next season will be much like 2005/2006. We have an accurate passer waiting with John Brantley and we also have a stud that can play in the Tebow position in Jordan Reed.the gators have won several games because of Tebow, can't remember a game where I thought that about Meyer...now Meyer did get Tebow to FL.
Yes maybe Brooks wasnt the best choice but i dont see a better one yet, I grew up a Tennessee fan, I have a father , grandfather, uncles all graduated from UT so I know a little thing about big orange football, It's just my opinion that kiffin lost 3 out of your guys 5 games. Not trying to be an ass i just believe kiffin is the wrong guy for the job, he would be an excellent Offensive Coordinator I just dont think hes a great Head coach. I completely understand why you guys believe different
He doesn't gamble. He's stupid. He just gets away with it because his team is so damn talented. That's because he's in a talent rich state that he does do a good job of keeping a lot of. The call to throw against Auburn in 2007 was so awful he should have been fired on site if it didn't work by a miracle. Gambling is taking a shot at the win instead of the tie. Stupid is passing up the easy shot at the win for the hard shot at the win. I'm not sure how he got this job in the first place.I wouldn't say he's terrible, but he gambles way too much in games... and the way he threw his players and coaches under the bus was horrid. He's still won a fair amount, though.
