UM promptly won a national championship. What more do you want? Do the Gators have to take on the Colts from Meyer to prove himself? Meyer has won everywhere he's been. He's proven he can win. Spurrier gets the edge only because he's much older. Spurrier didn't accomplish anymore at Urban's age.

So what?

Bowling Green was 2-9 the year before UM got the job and in his first year he made them 9-3.

Utah was 5-6 a year before UM took over.

In Meyer's first two years at Utah he went 10-2, and 12-0. Winning 2 Conference Championships, and a BCS Bowl.

Florida was 7-5 before UM took over, he won a SEC Title,
a National Title, and two #1 recruiting classes in two years.

Florida will continue to be a Top 10 team on a yearly basis because of Urban Meyer.

I just finished reading Street and Smith's college preview. I can't believe that these guys put Georgia ahead of The Big Orange and South Carolina. This was a big surprise to me. I would have to put Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Vandy. JMO though.

He's come into the SEC and had wins and success despite the naysayers and what predictions of doom they had on him. In his 6th or 7th season if he's still in the top ten mix thats good enough for me he's competant, as well as yes we'd be lucky to have him.
