Ranking of SEC Teams

admittedly and admitably are two entirely different words. typo or poor spelling doesn't quite explain it.

I think the jury is out as to whether he is the same coach he was 10 years ago. Coaching is a young mans game and you do wonder if he spends a little too much time on the golf course. Also keep in mind that the defense has really carried his teams since he has been there and we all know SS has almost nothing to do with the defense on his teams and holtz left some good defensive talent (and admitably not a lot of offensive talent).

The defenses really haven't been that great.

Not many head coaches do. That's Tyrone Nix's job and hes doing an outstanding job with the defense.
The golf is not a concern.

A few teams under Holtz had stout defenses but the talent level there crumbled. Now our defense is back to that level but even better. I feel much better about our defense this year than our offense.

Alabama may have the most experienced group of wide receivers in the SEC, but few of them have actually survived an entire season. It will take the underclass to provide leadership by the time October rolls around.

Have you ever asked yourself why Alabama failed in the red zone?

They couldn't depend on these receivers, the play was always the fullback off of left tackle.

If you can't stop the run, then why pass?

Watch how creative Vandy gets with the option. Arkansas doesn't need to pass 'cause Alabama doesn't have a defensive line or linebacker. Anybody could run behind Georgia's offensive line.

Bama has the best wide receiver group. Vandy has one wide receiver. Arkansas has no QB. Georgia has no one on offense that has ever done anything. I don't know where you're getting this.

You all are too kind to Arkansas, no. 9 at best. The runningbacks can't do it all.

Alabama will have Protho (sp) back after being out last season with a broken leg, late season game in 2005.

UGAs offensive line was the weakest link in their team last year besides QB and will be the biggest concern for them this year, they are going to be counting on Jucos and true frosh to start on the line in the SEC and that ain't good.....any yards gained on the ground last year for the Dawgs were hard earned by a good stable of RBs led by Lumpkin, I look for it to be about the same or worse for them this year.

Is that true? Prothro will be back? That's fantastic news if true. I felt horrible for him when he got that broken leg. I was under the impression that he was done.

As of now Prothro is not expected back at all this year, maybe not ever....they were hoping for this year but the healing didn't work out and he has had sugery 2 more times since the first one, at least that's what they were saying at the Bama spring game.

USC has fewer question marks than any other team in the east except UK. UK knows what it has... but that it probably isn't good enough to win the conference. USC returns almost all of its defense two or three deep with excellent defensive coaches. Spurrier has an experienced QB... and he's still an offensive genius.

For all the guys who give Urban Meyer love, Spurrier has proven far more than UM has.

Spurrier has been building from scratch. UM was left a full cupboard of talent.
