Rashida Tlaib’s THOBE, and Ilhan Omar’s HIJAB, are making congressional history

I imagine that the Russian obsession is rooted in Trump obsession. Had Canada done Trump the same solid, we'd have Congressmen inisting on a wall along the northern border.
Yep. Whatever threat Russia poses went from an object of mockery just a few years ago (remember Obama/Romney debate moment from 2012) to one of the most dire threats the country has ever seen once they could connect Russia to Trump.

Russia wasn't really a threat then, and they aren't really a threat now either.

So you only believe part of what comes out of his mouth. I guess whatever goes with your own personal beliefs?
where did I say that? His own mouth formed an apology for the speech

I don't believe much of anything coming out of a politicians mouth no matter which side of the aisle

Just as an exercise search on Google "democrats changing to republican" and you'll get a bunch of old worthless crap news. It takes a bit of work get to the #walkaway movement website. Actually unless you know about the website I doubt you'll ever find it.

And his own mouth, in the same apology said he didn’t remember being there. You’re choosing to only believe part of what he says

An organizer of the event said he didn’t show and there is zero evidence of him being there.

He may say that now. He did not say that in the link I provided

Weird to see the same party who had no problem with Farrakhan speaking as a guest for the black caucus, now pretending to condone antisemitism.

I think you mean condemn, not condone. Wee bit of difference there.

Do you have any concerns that we have politicians from the judeo-christian religious backgrounds that may offer preferential treatment to the Israeli lobby/interests?

Yes. Though it is not terribly high on my list of concerns.

It seems like any criticism of our relationship with Israel is met with outcries of antisemitism. Had these remarks come from non-muslims, would that still indicate signs of antisemitism?

Despite being one of the first Muslim legislators, she's not the first antisemite in Congress. I can't imagine she'll be the last.

Yes. Though it is not terribly high on my list of concerns.

We have way more judeo-christian influenced politicians than we do Muslim ones. If that's not high on your list of concerns, where do these two Muslims fall? Surely much less concern?

Your mind is already made up that she's antisemitic?

And I thought liberals had cornered the market on premature cries of racism and bigotry.

Oh look everyone, somebody else that thinks the Muslim religion is a religion of peace.

They aren't terribly high, either.

Say enough antisemitic stuff (which she's been doing long before getting elected) and hang out with enough antisemitic folks (same), and I'm going to conclude she's an antisemite. If that conclusion is inaccurate, then it's her fault for making that conclusion easy to draw. I'll give the benefit of the doubt over an ill-chosen word or two. But she's well beyond that point.

But I'm in no way trying to tell you what you should think of her.

I don't think it's a religion of peace any more than I do any religion with outdated, barbaric and inconsistent values. If we have any Muslims here I would gladly debate them on the problems with their beliefs as well as the greater issue of radicalization amongst their group as well. I'm an equal opportunist.

That doesn't mean I think they are all anti-semitic terrorists. I imagine there are plenty of good people who just happen to have been born and raised in a Muslim majority country and were taught what to believe.. not unlike America and Christianity. Thankfully we don't live in a third world shithole.

If you don't mind, could you post this abundance of evidence? As I've said, the things posted so far in this thread did not read as antisemitic to me. I am genuinely curious what else she has said.

True. Thanks. Any comment on why Farrakhan was acceptable?
Both person's comments are acceptable to the left, they really don't mind what this little terrorist said but they are just getting so much push back they had to do something even if it was a very weak response
