Rawane Ndiaye signs his LOI

From what Hyams said on radio today. He has a big plus side on rebounding and has a better offensive skillset than Yemi does. Said he was really set back by an injury. Anyone know what injury that was?

A non-specific foot injury.

Have you evaluated him? You looked at stats, that's it, no video and probably haven't looked at why the stats were low. He should be expected to be a 5/5 guy with a limited role. If he provides that, he will more than double Yemi.

All this bashing and nobody has seen him play. We have seen Yemi and Hall, anyone halfway serviceable is gonna be an upgrade.

No I havent but every other school in America that has made the tourney the last 2 years has and found him not to be worthy of a offer so I have to think they know what they are doing while Martin hasn't done so much.

I'm willing to bet those schools haven't evaluated him either. Nobody is saying this kid is a superstar. Most would even tell you its a head scratcher. But you, me and Dupree have not seen him this kid play so im willing to give the kid the benefit of the doubt. If he provides 5/5 next year and Stokes/Maymon are back, I would call it a good pickup. He will be a guy that comes in to give rest to those 2, we won't have that if Yemi leaves.

Let me clue you in there is a reason nobody has evaluated him or given him a second look

You got some facts to back that up? How you know he wasn't evaluated or given a second look? You want to write him off based on stats from very limited action, that's cool. I'm willing to at least see the product on the floor. Different strokes for different folks.

There are plenty that are better based on what we have seen, how many were willing to come here is a different ballgame. Wait and see game for me.

Look at this guy's stats and offers and you have to wonder what Martin is looking at when evaluating players. Is he trying to prove he is smarter than everyone else? A better coach than anyone else, how did this guy every become a prospect to come to UT in the first place? There hasn't been 1 legitimate reason given in all these threads for us to give this guy a scholarship, not one. If you are tryig to replace the worst 2 guys on your roster then you go out and get 2 guys better not 2 guys that are the same as you already have.

Why because he had offers from auburn, LSU, USCjr and TCU?

This guy has better offers than Brian Williams, skylar Mcbee and probably a few other guys that Pearl gave scholarships to.

Considering McBee was a walkon who are the other basically non recruited guys that Pearl brought in?

Mcbee was brought in with the understanding he would be getting a scholarship....I already mentioned Brian Williams for you. Josh Tabb didn't have as good of offers as Ndiaye, same for Ryan Childress....shall I continue?

I knew he was drawing interest from those schools, but I didn't know they actually offered?

Tell me which of those schools you listed made the tourney the last 2 years or when was the last time any made the tourney?

Your loyalty to Martin is admirable but very ill placed.

Give me one independent positive thing about this guy that someone has said that makes you believe he is a SEC type player.

It isnt like we have an abundance of open scholarships available.

I don't particularly like this offer but I didn't like when Martin got the job either. Still, he deserves a chance. Martin has a thing for these diamond in the rough kids and for his sake, I hope it works out.

There is no proof that they actually offered, it just fits his argument better. LOL

There's as much proof saying they offered than there is saying they didn't, actually probably more. He's already committed, sites aren't gonna update his profile page of offers, they'll just show who he's committed to...plus most of those offers lists aren't even accurate.

Rob Lewis, Tennessee basketball staff, Indian Hills coach and Ndiaye himself all say he had visits and offers set up/from LSU, USCjr and TCU...if you think they're all lying that's your choice.

He also had visits set up to these schools, that seems to have been mentioned by those schools sites...so if those schools are having him OV it seems pretty likely they've evaluated him, are interested and have probably offered.

Watch "Trouble With the Curve" and tell us what you learn about sitting behind a computer staring at stats and box scores to evaluate talent.

I know that interests and offers tend to get confused.....H*LL our own beat writers that u now claim as the gospel were confused whether this guy even had an offer from us so how would they know if he had an offer from other teams.

Like arguing with a brick wall, except the wall is smarter than him and more truthful.

If it was just Lewis I wouldn't be adamant, but like I said, you wanna call Lewis, Tennessee staff, Indian hills coach and rawane Ndiaye himself all liars that's your choice, you can believe its all one big conspiracy if it makes you feel better.
