Rawane Ndiaye to Officially visit this weekend per TOS

If he was put in 40 minutes worth of play he'd average 13.3 rebounds per game, that's pretty impressive and he's had a couple of important blocks.

Bob Thornton for the 76ers would have avg 20+ rebounds back in the day if you use the old reb per minute way.....the facts he avg around 2 pts 2 reb a game and shot below 40% from the field.

You forgot to include that this same rivals guy also says he is hearing Landry is likely headed to prep school and not Tennessee.

Also forgot to point out that Ndiaye does not have an offer from the staff...my guess/hope is that he is a backup to the backup that's the real backup plan for if Stokes were to leave.

There should not be enough backups to take this guy imo.

Some snippets about this guy:

Rivals National BB analyst has never even heard of him.

Averaged 1.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in JC

Started 1 game

Suspended for 3 games for fighting

This means another scholarship will have to open up for him to be a take this year.

Really do not know what Martin is doing on the recruiting trail, but these types of guys walk-on which this guy will not be able to do because this is an official visit.

Those are some massive stats!!!!

Trying my best to stay positive about Martin, then this thread comes along. I hope it's just a sick joke.

How does that change the fact Martin made a horrible eval of his talent which is the point of this thread?

If Galen Campbell wasn't promised a spot...there's also the issue of walkons and OVs, pretty sure there's a rule against that.

The issue is they can still walk on but cannot receive any financial assistance or academic scholarship from the school or they count against the 13 as a recruited player.

I could be wrong but I think this is how it works.

I read all this crap and I laugh. Martin isn't a bad coach. Wade Houston was a bad coach. I don't think half of you could have made it through those times without jumping off of a bridge. Seriously, have some patience. Let the man get his feet under him before packing his bags. Stop reacting to every little morsel of gossip as if it's truth. Or don't. I get more lulz watching all the chicken littles of VN.

Alex Foster visited but we chose a different route, just because someone OVs doesn't mean A. That we have offered them or B. that they are someone we are really looking to add.

I seem to remember the Foster visit was cancelled before he made it to Knoxville. By the way, he's back on the market.

Just heard that CCM is bringing in three of those guys. 1.7 points, and 0.2 rebounds between them. TOS is positive he is going to run the "Flying Wedge" offense. He will be using one guard, a forward cheerleader, and the three bigs will be on roller blades. Just sayin, TOS put it out first.

:dance2::dance2::dance2:

That's awesome. Brings a whole new meaning to big 10 basketball.

Way too many people are freaking out about an OV, if he gets an offer then freak out, at this point I don't see one coming though.

then why is martin wasting time bringing him in? he shouldn't even be considered for a scholarship in this program. i don't care how far down the "backup" line he is.

Maybe it's a possibility for NEXT year, people ever think of that? The guys a RS freshman, I suppose he technically could play another year in JUCO before looking to go D1, right? You never know how someone is gonna progress, maybe he's someone they're just looking at for next year...or this year if stokes leaves, Maymon can't return and yemi transfers.

Point is, he doesn't have a schorship offer as of now, there really is no point in everyone freaking out about this guy when he doesn't even have an offer.

Doubt that's the case. He will graduate from JC I assume, right? Redshirt FR means he has been there two years.

why waste an official visit? What the hell, Cuonzo?

Maybe Cuonzo is looking for a guy who definitely will not leave early to go pro.

I would assume, but it's possible he's behind right? Are you only allowed 2 years at a JC, could've sworn I've seen guys go longer but maybe not...

Many guys don't graduate in two years.

Walk ons can visit officially but just can't get any aid iirc

I can't think of any who have gone longer, but its possible. JC is usually a two-year program. But if he's behind in school, that makes his official visit all the more alarming. I've never heard of a JC player taking official visits more than a year before they graduate. I'm not even sure you're allowed to do it. It would be akin to a high school junior taking an official visit, which is not permissable.
