My bad, either way the offense around them still sucks and throwing them out there to fail is a bad idea. Just saying. Of course I've been explaining that for a number of posts now and you can't figure it out. Just say in'. Just sayin'

Worley won't make it to the end of the season, no matter what happens.

He may not make it through October, healthy anyway. These next 3 teams are going to come after him pretty good. We got no one any reps yesterday because we were in a dogfight.. We lose Worley we're going to be in bad shape. Butch's reluctance to play either of these freshmen tell me they must be lights years behind. I'm not sure it can look much worse but i guess it can..

Based on how Worley looks, it can't get much worse. Bray seemed to do fine as a frosh, and he didn't even watch film.

My only criticisms are that he's too stubborn regarding the freshmen. I could understand it if Worley was even an average SEC QB, but he's proven to be an average Sun Belt QB, at best.

If neither Freshmen have any juice then either they cannot coach/develop and/or evaluate talent. We have had true freshmen start in the past (Peyton, Casey, Ainge and Schaeffer), so it's bitterly frustrating when it appears to us fans that he's not even giving either of them a chance to show what they have. They can't prove jack squat with very limited 2-3rd team reps in practice.

The other criticism I have is that this team has 3 WR's...all 4* recruits (so they aren't scrubs)...that are 6'4" to 6'5" and they rarely use all that size. Harris is sitting over on the sideline. Can't use that size sitting on the bench.

I really wish some of you guys, who are coaches, could understand that only a hand full of freshmen are physically and mentally mature enough to compete in Division 1 football. If we want to rebuild our football program, we must be patient enough to let recruits have a decent chance to be come succeed.

Lol, your inability to break down info even after all these years still blows my mind.

And deflecting away from the current discussion has always been a speciality of yours.

UT has none of those players you mentioned, and never will again. We have to build with what we have, and the frosh QB's are our future. Either we take off the training wheels with them, or we keep them safe. There is a better chance one of them starts this year, than not, if Jones throwing Peterman to the wolves isn't enough evidence to support that.

Lol I haven't deflected anything. The talent isn't here to let a freshman start right now and protect them. Jones' horrendously failed Peterman experiment, coupled with his emphatic statement at halftime shows how wrong you are.

Lol I

So, you're saying that there wouldn't be a better possibility of the freshman playing better against our November opponents, versus on the road versus on of the best defenses in the nation?

Peterman was going to fail regardless of the opponent. If the freshmen werent ready to overtake Worley at the end of august, they arent ready now and it's hilarious that you think a bye week will magically create the time needed to get one of them ready

If that's your opinion, then Tyler Page should be backup.

Here's the way it works, elite young skill position players being recruited have choices to make. You can play for da Vols & CBJ, have a chance to get on the field your freshman or sophomore year and play a lot, or go to Bammer/LSU, get grey shirted perhaps or even run off once you're too old and a younger player fits their plans better, and maybe even play 1 or two seasons. Players and their families are beginning to catch on to how Bammer and Saban are operating and are preferring more playing time and better overall educational experience, hence CBJ and his nationally prominent recruiting class. Lucky Tuscalooser Alabammer has much more than a Sonic Drive In for entertainment.

how did you get that out of what I posted? Where did I mention Tyler Page was better than Ferg or Dobbs?

Oh yeah, I didn't. Deductive reasoning isn't a strength of yours.

You want to save them, no? Peterman's out, and Page is the only other option, outside the freshman.

My deductive reasoning is fine.

Lol, you're forgetting the guy currently starting. I never said anything about backups, but there isn't a reason to start a freshman just because.

I can see that everyone else had the "Oh crap" moment like I did when reading this thread title judging by the number of views versus actual posts.
