All these threads bashing on people for expecting losses at Oregon, against UF, against UGA, etc.
What happens to all of y'all that are expecting we can win these games when this happens:
the Ducks run roughshod over us and we lose by 24
Florida throws at will and beats up 21
Aaron Murray has a field day against our secondary racking up 345 passing yards en route to a 27 point thumping.
Vandy/Auburn/Mizzou/USC- 3 of these four or even 2 of these four just prove to be too much for us to handle and we lose half of these games.
Just curious what happens. Replying with "won't happen, Butch gets it" doesn't count. I want to know how things will go if the above happens. A bad loss to Oregon, a bad loss to Florida, a bad loss to Florida and tough losses to two of the four mentioned last.
Oregon could easily have a field day. We won't know how badly Kelly is missed until kickoff. If Oregon struggles and beats themselves it will be a respectable loss.
Florida is also likely a loss, but u don't think they will "throw at will". It will always be the same against them if they lose: Speed kills and no running game.
Georgia will rack up a record I'm sure but their defense is still bad and UT can have just enough success to keep things interesting. Thru 3 quarters I see it being 27-16.
Don't think SC is going to be that great this year, still a top 15 team. If Clowney can be slowed down, it won't be lopsided. They could even suprise them if the offense is where they need to be.
UK and Auburn are wins, won't be suprised about if Vandy beats them but Mizzu is a win I'm looking at 80% chance.
Even at your suggested possibilities, they still end up 6-6, and I think they can beat most 6-6 teams in a bowl game. That's good for CBJ. Don't look at the losses being beatdowns in his 1st year. Right now they are in the bottom. This year is about putting stepping stones to get back to the middle of the pack next year (Florida, A&M level) by next year and then be top 4 the 3rd year and in the title game in year 4. That's how I look at it. Look at how they are compared to the bottom of middle packs, not how they compare to the best teams.
The drive time sports radio show today had the voice of the LSU corndogs on and he was beeching about some schools schedules being unfairly tough. He said they had to play bammer, floriduh and jawja while some other teams got to play creampuffs like Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee.hmy: That's apparently the view of what Tennessee's program has become lately. Of course they can all :biteme: and the Big Orange creampuff is tooling up to whip y'alls asses.

If stupid ass blind homerism had the power you're suggesting objectivity does, Dooley would have won consecutive Intergalactic Championships. Alas, it didn't mean anything and we got the hell kicked out of us, as his history suggested we would.
I like this team. Everything about it. 6-6 would not be a tragedy. However, I do still have a slightly 'negavol' attitude toward the fact that Willie Martinez is on our coaching staff. Guy is a HORRIBLE coach. Just look at UGA, Oklahoma, and Auburn's defensive stats while he was there. Hopefully he'll get offered a bigger responsibility at a smaller school soon...
That's not an answer, that's just going in blind with your fingers crossed. You're flipping the question back again. How do we know we're going to compete in all those games? We don't, but that's what so many want us to believe. I'm just simply asking the what if. Can you really deny that at least on paper we are undermanned and less talented in many of those games mentioned?
All of Butch's speeches should be,"Lets just keep it close because we're not going to win. You know it, I know it and the Negavols know it". Yep, that's good coaching according to some of you on here. We might as well not even play this year since half the teams are going to thump us according to the logic of you losers.
