Real HC Options

Keep a look at the teams in the NCAA who are from the mid level pool. The Cinderilla team of this tourney will be hired by Hart.

We hired Buzz after he had a good tourney run with Tulsa. We hired Bruce when he had a good tourney run with Milwaukee. We hired Martin when Missouri State made the tourney.

Hart will hire an over achieving mid major coach and hope to get him at a cheap price.

Well, Bruce had a 231-46 record and a championship in Division II prior to Milwaukee; which is one reason why I like the Derrick Clark idea.

If we don't hire Pearl back we'll hire a Mid-major coach no doubt in my mind. We are the mid-major bargain shoppers of basketball.
As far as Howland 390-199-.662 did most of his good coaching at UCLA.
Pearl 317-137-.698 also 231-46 in Division one.
If were gonna hire a mid-major look for a guy with 70 percent winning percentage at least. We went with Martin who has an overall record of 116-80-.592 He was 61-41 at Missouri State .598 when we hired him. Why did we think he could win more than 60 percent of games is the big question? He certainly has coached at the same level here that he did there.

If that's the case coaches like Jay Wright, Rick Pitino, and Jamie Dixon, Jim Boeheim probably can't wait to leave their current jobs.

L'ville isnt that bad of a place to live. I know you're being facetious but Pitino loves Kentucky. He said his wife never wanted to leave Lexington in the first place.

Personally, I'm willing to hold out one more year and see if Brad Stevens burns out and wants to return to college.

I agree on Cuonzo. There was nothing in his resume that suggested he should be coaching UT. However, what would you think of a guy who's 3 year record was 68-37 with one elite eight but 2 first round tournament losses. Better than Cuonzo, of course, but kind of underwhelming, isn't it. (It's what happens when you have no sense of what a half-court offense should look like, and have no Chris Lofton to cover this deficiency. Also, when you suddenly stop playing to your coaching strength, which is: making the game chaotic.)
