Well, he can take heart knowing that even if he goes 5-7, over 76% of those same fans will declare it a job well done.

Except they won't accept 5-7 if it actually happens. They will be screaming for his head and forget how they said he needed time etc. Few remaining supporters who will still be around defending him and trying to remind the reds of what they said before the season will become the new generation of negavols. :cray:

I chose 7 wins. But I chose that based on regular season.

Overall 8-5

Wins over
USU
ASU
Chatt
Vandy
UK
Mizzou
And 1 of UF, UGA, USC, Miss, OU

+ a bowl win.

I believe in Coach Jones and I love the players coming in and am encouraged by the QB development, but I'm still not sold on the coordinators. I think 8+ wins is another year away after the freshman get a year in the system.

I'd set the line at 5.5

ESPN says 4-8.

94% of Vols fans say 6 wins or better.

Sumpin doesn't add up.

Count your wives. If you married one every year - for six years in a row, how many would you have? 6, correct. That's the amount of wins most Vol fans are predicting. Now, you add in your girlfriend, or in your case, your next wife. That would equal 7. So, in simple football terms, Us Vol fans are expecting 6 W's (W is for wins, not wives) + 1 meaning the bowl game. I hope that helps explain!

just messing with you ag4fr - I hope you can make it to Knoxville this fall, these rednecks are really some good people.

One ESPN writer says 4-8. Another predicted 8-4 or something in that neighborhood. Indeed something doesn't add up... like you only seeing the predictions that make you feel better about USU's chances.

UT is somewhat of an enigma to writers and talking heads. Several have been burned a few times over the past couple of years. They don't take the time to dig very deep... because they don't have that time. So they look at UT's youth and the past 6 seasons and yank a prediction out of their rears.

IIRC, the consensus on Mizzou last year was 5 or 6 wins. Auburn I believe was 7 or 8 wins. UF was considered a contender for the SEC and maybe the BCS.

In all likelihood, you are going to get pounded on August 30th. The thing that throws that game out of balance is your DB's vs UT's WR's. Even worse news for you is that it appears Pig Howard will be back AND UT is going to have a 4* JUCO WR WALK ON after struggling with some eligibility issues. Your WR's ate your DB's up in your spring game. You likely don't have a WR that would make UT's top 6 right now.

Barring something unforeseen, you are going to lose by 17+.

In most states, you have to divorce your current wife before you can marry the next one. So, you'd still wind up with only one wife at the end of all that marrying.
