Recruiting could be taking off with multiple coaching changes...

Yahoo is reporting that Houston Nutt will be accepting the Colorado job.

This could lead to a spiral of coaching changes...

I do buy into this for Nutt. If he goes to Colorado, Malzahn will be priority #1 for Ole Miss...

With the Newton allegations, I definitely expect Malzahn to take the job...

Ole Miss is actually doing well in recruiting this year. If Nutt goes they could easily lose there 2 good Miami DB's

I hope he works out, I'm just not seeing the impact everyone else thinks he will provide. A scholarship just for a punt returner is stupid in year 1 of Dooley's tenure.

You know Saban has a long distance field goal kicker and a short distance field goal kicker, right?

Elaborate.

TN is short of numbers, so they need every possible recruit to either improve talent or depth.

Bama has has plenty of what TN lacks. If Saban wants to make room for someone, even if the position is not of dire need, he will usually get rid of a current player who is not contributing to the level that they thought that player would.

He can afford to offer 2 kickers with a full roster of 90+ players.

We have to make every single one count right now just to get our numbers back to normal.

So given our punt return situation this season you do not think its worth bringing in a natural returner? Obviously we have absolutely no answer at that position on our present day roster. And I am not saying Devrin is that answer, but if you see a solution, you can't pass that up IMO.

Vincent Dallas is a natural returner too. You guys really think DY is the only return man in this class?

Hey guys...long time reader and first time poster, what about a name that is a blast from the past and may get thrown back in because of the situation at Clemson...Eric Maclain, he would be a TE and a highly rated one at that and loved UT at one point...I'll hang up and listen.

MacLain got his feelings hurt when Dooley didn't immediately call him when he accepted the HC job. [sarcasm]

I'd be shocked if he could set his ego aside and talk to Dooley again.

Its Black Monday for College Coaches. More ax's are going to start falling today. Personally, I dont think Dabo will get canned, but i feel as if someone over there will. Merry Recruiting Season Boys!!! One of the best times of the football year!!

I thought there was a problem with Harbaugh and UM, some kind of bickering or something.

There is, it's something about Michigan not being as commuted to academic excellence by it's players or something. Harbaugh is a he@$ of a coach, I'd love my bengals to fire Lewis and snatch him up, guys just quality all he way through

Dabo gets one more year. Their AD looks to be out the door. If the Scott's stay they will keep Bellamy, Lane, and Watkins.

How many guys that you would have sworn would be great returners have they tried this year?

Oku, Gordon, Jackson, etc WERE ALL more highly thought of as PR possibilities than anyone UT has committed right now. None got the job done.

They better recruit multiple options.

We've got several on the roster right now that have experience returning in HS but not one single person has stepped up to take the job. If DY is just solid at PR/KR he is worth the scholarship, period, bottomline, what the hell is so hard to understand about it. I can't for the life of me understand why people can't figure out we have a huge void on special teams right now that will cost us some games next year if we don't fix it.

Watching highlights of some of our recruits, I noticed that Vincent Dallas is a very exciting player. Can't wait to see what he can do.
