If we get that PI call and Keaton does not drop the beautiful touch pass that bounced off his fingers in stride on the next drive, The First Quarter Boys were back in business, Joe had a 21-point first quarter, and the entire conversation is different.
Should've gone 1st qtr over 13.5 total.

With a day to sit on it, I actually am less frustrated by the offense.

A&M is the best passing defense in the SEC, they are 1st in completion % given up and 2nd in passing yards allowed and that's before we played them.

In fact only Miami and Bama have thrown for better than 58% against them and those are also the only two teams to throw for 150 yards or more (yes you read that correctly). Mind you they haven't just been playing cupcakes either, Auburn, Arkansas, Miami, and Bama. So our performance in the passing game wasn't exactly an anomaly, their defense has been that good.

But what is impressive is that we ran all over them, they came into the day as the best rush defense in the SEC and now are 4th, just in front of us.

So really what we as fans should take away more than anything is that our defense is one of the best in the SEC, 1st in yards per play allowed, 3rd in points allowed, 4th in rushing yards allowed, 4th in total yards allowed, 5th in passing yards allowed. We're a bit behind in turnovers at 1.3 a game, which has us 8th but Georgia and Alabama are also sitting at 1.3 a game.

So our passing offense got exposed/played bad...with us losing a few OL starters, losing Bru and Thornton and Joe continue to be inconsistent it's not that shocking that we laid an egg against the best pass defense in conference. Hopefully the struggles will be teaching points for the staff and players and they make improvements moving forward. Bama & Georgia are the only two teams left that are as good or better than A&M defensively.

We have back to back run games coming up we didn't show up for our only true road game in the swamp so we better have figured some things out cause we all know Kentucky and Missouri both are going to use every play/trick in the book to try and beat us.
Also don’t forget the non PI calls. I counted 3-4 pretty big ones.

I'm taking somebody to hit a HR in the ALCS, game, tonight. I think both starters will give up one, the question is..... Can I choose the right hitter(s) ?

The conversation hasn’t been different all year, really. You’re “if” this and “if” that has been the story almost every game.

My frustration is all this is true, just like it has been every week this year. I can’t remember the last time we had so many of these easy drops by WR and sailing passes by the QB.

Understand but the high road, in your early 20s, is the road less taken by most. Dude got booed in his home stadium and look at his numbers. Definitely not a one way street.

Can you imagine having social media at that age? Thankful I didn't! 😆
It's a losing battle. One account against hunnerts of thousands. What he's done ON THE FIELD the past couple of games spoke louder with little to no blowback.

Tennessee currently ranks #126 in the nation in pass plays of 20+ yards

Only ECU, Utah, Eastern Michigan, Navy and Air Force rank below the Vols

Credit Heupel for finding new ways to win but this also needs to get corrected to have a chance to beat Alabama or Georgia

Josh Heupel: "Didn’t look like I made a lot of the right decisions tonight for the most part in those critical situations."

In 32 games at Tennessee, Josh Heupel now has head-to-head wins over five of the top eight highest-paid coaches in college football.
Better get him on the nutrition and muscle gain program now! That boy needs some fried chicken, pork chops and taters. I guess throw in some greens too. 😎

Keep it classy Kamal and speak with your play.
Many people and especially those in sports are fueled more by doubt than love. It’s the opposite of what it taught. With that said, I was in a leadership conference recently, and almost every person that spoke to their success, pointed to people that doubted them along the way.

Wish I would’ve did my normal bet on it tho but was super scared eagles would do just enough to sit on the ball and screw me 3 ways lol

When it comes to a come back/upset I always play the ML or the win margin (1-13) just because the win margin usually pay’s slightly more and a late come back win usually is a touchdown difference or less so 13 points is insurance.

History shows teams that beat Saban get shellacked by him the next year.
History shows that most teams get shellacked by Saban, period.

Ole Miss beat him back-to-back years in the Hugh Freeze days. They just won by 3 in Brian Dennehy stadium against a team that doesn't have a P5 win yet. They scored 17 against a team that just gave up 56 to FAU.

I'm not saying the Vols win, but I am saying it's completely within the realm of possibility that we do.

I noticed that Pearce has bull rushed the OT and hitting the QB with said OT in every game this season. He is a really strong player as those OTs outweigh him by 60-70 lbs or more.
It’s leverage. His speed and burst are unreal. Tackles lose balance and he throws them like a jujitsu black belt.

DBs are taught to take down the arm like that when they are beaten…. the ref that was closest to the play was behind them and couldn’t see the arm dragged down…. Joe was late on almost all his throws last night.
Why do you ALWAYS defend these crooked piles of 💩?...they screw us over and over and over, year after year after year..and you still defend them.

Exactly. Coach Ekeler may be a wildman but in no way should be compared to Orgeron or a young Kiffin. Keeler has a hot wife, beautiful & athletic daughters in their young 20's and is surrounded by good dudes on Heupel's staff.

Not fair at all to lump him in with that trash on Kiffin's UT staff. I can see some similar amped up personality traits but that's what you want in a guy coaching aggressive OLB's and ST players. Seems like a good role model and coach to me. Coach Yaw Yaw was almost 60 and was pushing his overweight heart to the limit with blow and gold digging, crazy hoes. Not the same...even Lane has matured beyond Orgeron's ways (seemingly) and he was a silver spoon brat back in 2009.

And I’m saying only three teams have ever beaten him back to back and we’re their 2nd most hated rival coming off talking **** to them for a year straight. They’ll get up for this one.
