Some interesting stats:

2022 we lead the SEC in passing yards per game
2023 we lead the SEC in rushing yards per game

2022 we threw it 32.5 times a game and ran it 40.2 times a game
2023 we throw it 31.2 times a game and run it 39.3 times a game

2022 total yards per game: 525.5
2023 total yards per game: 443.8

2022: 6-0 and we had faced 4 top 25 teams and 2 were road games
2023: 5-1 and we've faced 0 top 25 teams

Our passing game has really taken a step back this season. The losses at WR Hyatt/Tillman to draft & Bru/Thornton to injuries and Joe just not being as good as Hendo are a big part of the why. But our OL/RBs have stepped up a lot...Just worries me that our schedule this season has been weaker and with the competition improving we could see more struggles.
Well...yes. This offense isn't nearly as good.

The thing is this - our run game was also very solid last year. That offense had both sides. This one has one and a very little of the other (so far)

Example:

This year we are almost 1 yard per carry better at rushing than in 2022. Yes, that's a big improvement when it comes rushing. But still 1 yard.

Passing...we are down 3.2 yards per pass...

...it's Keyton. I agree. He should be moved to the bench. Maybe that will motivate him to catch the damn ball if he ever sees the field again.
Webb crushed it in fall camp. I don’t know why he isn’t taking Keytons snaps. Dude has cost us at least four touchdowns this season.

Bammers are big time triggered

He basically says we lose because Milton.

Unfortunately that’s probably true. WRs have dropped too many balls so it’s not all his fault, but lack of situational awareness will get us a loss on the road. Joe can’t process the playclock, down & distance, coverage, and make accurate throws. I think it’s just too much for him to handle all the time.

Wicked. I saw this photo posted on FB earlier but they said it was the Blue Ridge Mountains.

But I've taken a photo just like this in late Fall right outside Gatlinburg. They get this effect a lot and it's insane to see in person. We probably had 50 people parked and just looking at something like this. First time I had ever seen it and still think about the majestic beauty of it.

Watching every minute of every game we've played I can say the defense is better than last year, but also when I look at who we've played and compare it to who Bama's played...I don't think I'd say our defense is better.

Bama's SOS is 4th (on Sports Reference) ours is 84th. Texas is the only team that put up points or yards on Bama... no other team scored more than 21 and no other team racked up 310 yards on them. Our defense only gave up 21 to Florida, but we've had 4 teams total go for 310 or more yards...
For me it boils down to home vs road Vols. We just don't look as good on the road the last 2 years. If it were a home game I'd pick us to win another close one, but Bama defense paired with our underperforming has me thinking we won't be able to score enough even with our defense playing well.

First to 20 wins.

Just think, Keaton has caught thousands of passes in practice. He doesn't do it when needed in the game. He's a 'choker'. He chokes when the easiest of passes can be caught. You can't tell me someone over there on the sideline can't run routes and catch passes. Heard a 'homer' on a call in show saying we need more time to develop a passing attack and for the receivers catching passes. Nope, that's what practice is for, idiot. Bring it from all of the hundreds of pass routes ran THIS YEAR in practice to the game. If you don't have it by now you never will. Replace him. Give the next one in line a chance to show he can be counted on cause we're not seeing that from Keaton.

Only reason why im nervous for the game Saturday is because it’s away, it seems like the last several games we played on the road we 💩 ourselves (UGA, USCjr, Florida). And the common denominator here is how bad our O-Line played, and the penalties. With it being in Tuscaloosa I do not hold out hope that we will play a clean enough game to win
