He is an average qb.
I think Joe and the coaching staff missed a big opportunity not leaning into Joe’s running ability this offseason. Joe proved a couple of weeks back that he has some top end speed, and proved this past week that he can truck people. If they had worked with him to improve his ability to throw on the move, he would be a nightmare for teams to defend.

Honestly, I would imagine they've wanted him to protect himself from injury since we're legitimately 2 deep and he's backed up by a true freshman. I'm guessing as it's become clear he's not progressed as much as was hoped as a passer that the coaching staff has shifted to asking him to be more of a runner lately for increased production.

AP says his brace looked like Batman's gear from first Batman begins film.

That’s a good point, and obviously hindsight is 20/20.

Hopefully, Joe is fully bought in to the idea now.

What does that even mean?
People don't like that we sing Friends in Low Places between the 3rd and 4th quarters even though every single person in the stadium is singing it and appearing to enjoy it. So they are going to change which song we sing going into the 4th.

Agree with that. Our only difference seems I have a lil more 🤷‍♂️ view.

Kid made a questionable effort "tackle" attempt at Florida, gets booed at home while being announced, steps up bigger, and calls some folks out. Not a big deal to me if he keeps backing it up.
And many many fans responded both on social media and at the game in a very positive manner after his first post…then he posts this. I just shook my head. I don’t think it’s good for one of our players to ”go to war” with members of his fan base…

I think Joe doesn't run because Joe doesn't like to run. Will he? Sure, but he doesn't like it. He ran out of bounds 1 yard shy of the first down last week when he easily could have gotten it. He ran out well before contact.

I hope they ditch country. Nothing about a country tune would get me amped for the 4th quarter. Instead it makes me want to kick my feet up with s beer on the porch.

It's thematically odd.
I just wish that some of our friends in low places were SEC referees.

The entire slate of music in Neyland needs a major facelift. The kickoff song is also played out.

They need to let Sterl play some tunes the players and recruits favor.

I don’t like practicing sand shots, but I do it because being better at getting out of the bunker improves my score.

Whether he enjoys it or not, if he’s not going to do what it takes to win, why is he out there?

Yeah, and the same complaints were leveled at him as Milton. Milton might get drafted higher, NFL is not going to totally pass on an arm like his.

There's absolutely no way. You mean to tell me the 98/99 team didn't need Tee Martin to make any plays, ever? Milton cannot make the plays that we need to win a game. It's that simple. He showed that early this year against Florida.

So Heupel doesn't have to swallow the tough pill of "I sold out to recruit a terrible QB".
