I dont get it, how did Joe do so good last year in the orange bowl, with the same wr’s as this year, and still our passing game has regressed this significantly? Golesh didn’t coach in Bowl Prep or the game, so thst doesn’t have as much about it as people think

Why do you all do this to yourselves?

Joe was 19 of 28 for 251 yards and 3 TDs against Clemson

He has had 5 games this year with an average of 20 completions and 32 attempts for 233 yards and a TD per game.

The biggest difference? WRs catching the deep balls. 2nd TD drive Squirrel catches a 50 yard pass that set up a 2 yd TD for Small, 4th TD drive Keyton catches a 46 yard TD.

Seems small, but those 2 big passes against Clemson made up 2 completions 96 yards and a TD. That's really been it, against every team we've faced there has been at least one or 2 of those deep balls that didn't hit. Missed DPI, bad throw, or drops. When those hit Joe has a game like Clemson, when they don't hit we get games like A&M.

I don’t like practicing sand shots, but I do it because being better at getting out of the bunker improves my score.

Whether he enjoys it or not, if he’s not doing what it takes to win, why is he out there?
I took note of what was reported after Bru's injury. It was reported that Joe wasn't sure he could go back after seeing that injury. I thought it showed in his play afterwards. I think he's legit scared of potential injury. I was always coached that the best way to increase chances of injury is to play scared of injury. Him tweaking his knee probably hasn't helped either.

I think Joe and the coaching staff missed a big opportunity not leaning into Joe’s running ability this offseason. Joe proved a couple of weeks back that he has some top end speed, and proved this past week that he can truck people. If they had worked with him to improve his ability to throw on the move, he would be a nightmare for teams to defend.

I think this is a big part of it. Hendo was so good in the RPO and Joe seems to almost always give those to the RB.

Hendo took over because Joe got hurt, and then Joe got his shot last year because Hendo got hurt...

It is definitely something Joe is aware of and being his size you always get the big shots delivered on you.

That’s a good point, and obviously hindsight is 20/20.

Hopefully, Joe is fully bought in to the idea now.
I’d imagine that Nico is probably up to speed now and his wrist is better so if Milton was to go down we wouldn’t be trotting Shuler out.

Memphis folks.

Ate at a striking B&B yesterday, 'Eggxactly'. Truly a beautiful venue, replete with locks & bolted down tables. The ambience was serene. The dance of the blue lights from MPD bouncing off the iron bars over the windows, is truly a work of art.

Seriously, place is in really bad shape. But if you are ever brave enough, go eat there. Best brekkie ive ever had.

People don't like that we sing Friends in Low Places between the 3rd and 4th quarters even though every single person in the stadium is singing it and appearing to enjoy it. So they are going to change which song we sing going into the 4th.
I don't sing with it, and am glad they are changing it. Of course, I could dislike the new song even more than I dislike the current song.
