UT's offense is not like the run and shoot or the air raid, in fact it is diametrically opposed. This offense wants to run the ball first and foremost. Yes it spreads the defense out but it is to lighten the box to create running room and make it difficult to hide blitzes and disguise coverages. The big pass plays result from teams trying to stop the run by loading the box.

The best running scheme (mathematically) that exists in football.

Minimize how many blockers you need and there's your rushing attack.

The more blockers, the worse. Somehow football heads never understood this for decades, meanwhile happy with 2 yards and a cloud of dust...but usually 2 yards.

I wonder how many of those other guys only have 80 carries on the season and, therefore, is gaining 10+ yards on 32.5% of his carries. It's truly amazing that he's leading that stat considering he only has 33.9% of our team's total rushes.

Our opponents are averaging 6.2 penalties, 46.7 yards/game

How many penalties will we have on Saturday, and how many will Alabama have?

I'm going to say 11 for us, 5 for them

Road game under Heupel? 10 minimum for the offense lol

But seriously, something we have to fix even if it slows us down 1 second per play. Has been a real killer for us on the road and actually penalties that are on us

It's their second season, but your point remains. They aren't eligible for a bowl or to even participate in their conference championship until next year. They even appealed to make it a one year transition, but were denied.

I don't know how anything outside a natty will ever top that game again in my lifetime.

There was something truly special about being down and kicked for so long, 15 years of frustration, being in Neyland during a magical run, the entire ending capped off by a total whobbler and the greatest field rush football has ever seen...

I just can't imagine a better scenario from top to bottom when it comes to a cathartic win.

I don’t know if there’s another video that I love more than this one, besides the Hyatt run. I hope we can add to this upcoming Third Weekend in October’. And I hope we never lose this game on our schedule. Friggin loser in our own fanbase that wants to schedule a easy win. We’re not Georgia or Kentucky. We’re Tennessee and earn our wins.
