I'm just not a fan of going wide on Bama. To that point everything we had tried on the edges had gotten stopped. Since Saban has been there you have to go straight downhill to run the ball on them.
We had done a speed option twice in the first half. One was an 8 yard gain the other was a 3 yard gain. Based off the way bama was aligned it was an easy first

So even if it’s a fair catch signal… why is the ball spotted at the 3/4 instead of at the 25. If you say it’s a fair catch signal, then ok returner shouldn’t be able to advance the ball, but you should get the benefit of the fair catch call then. I mean, I’ve never seen that call in my life… which somehow makes it the most predictable thing in the world, given the context.

I am not buying that Heuple is calling plays. Is there a video saying this or something or is this just a guess? If he is calling the plays then he is sucking at his job. This is just not 1 game.
Give me the Zapruder film showing Halzle doing all…whatever you said. 🤨 If it’s not on your cloud, post proof from two seasons worth of GOLESH offensive coordinating. Thanks in advance.

I think there are times to be aggressive, but with the game flow today they weren't the smartest decisions with how the defense was playing. There were no reasons to go, it wasn't like the offense was eating when he decided to go for it. It screamed of panic tbh.
I don’t think it’s panic. I think it’s just his philosophy. He goes on 4th down a lot.

What's this supposed to mean?
Heupel’s offense isn’t reliant only on one player to function at its highest capability as are most offenses but especially his because of how fast it moves. Everyone has to do their job qb, wr’s, rb’s, oline. If just one doesn’t it doesn’t go well especially when going at a fast pace. Last year we saw everything come together. Every position group handled their assignments and jobs well and it was the number 1 offense. This year too many times one group has taken “plays off” you can say. Whether that’s the oline not blocking, wr’s not catching or getting separation, qb getting antsy affecting his footwork or not reading the play well. If anyone of those things happen consistently the offense falls apart. Don’t understand how people who’ve been watching this team for 3 years don’t understand that it’s about the unit functioning well together not just one player.

Of you try to return a fair catch you get it at the spot the ball is caught. Since the other returner tried to return it we got it where we caught it.

Because he advanced the ball. It's a penalty to advance a fair catch.

Whatever it is, it's why I don't think he's a championship coach. There's a time and a place where it makes sense but I'm not sure any of them today actually made sense.

On the first goal to go situation Milton ran the option to the left and kept it and cut it inside and got stuffed.

He didn’t follow the play design. Go back and look. He dove inside too quickly.

He needed to keep it for one more beat and stretch it out to the C gap and he walks in.

Idk but this is the quickest way to get Nico on the field…these kind of comments will turn a locker room real quick.hes quick to call someone out but fails to hold himself accountable for his weekly missed throws and bad reads.he’s been in this offense for 2 years and still makes freshman mistakes

“illegal snap” which negated a fumble by bama (their only flag), a “fair catch” on a kickoff that wasn’t even signaled (also supposed to get the ball at the 25), illegally touching the ball on a punt that put the ball at the 4 instead of the 1.

3 phantom calls I’ve never ever seen until today. Since When is it an illegal snap if the center snaps the ball when the QB isn’t ready?
These refs were making up shat as they go..it was ridiculous..each of the penalties that u mentioned, i was like never heard of this ever..

Just like Joe hitting a check down with 0 seconds left on the clock. I know the game is over but it shows what kind of smarts this kid doesn't have. The quicker we get away from joe, the more experience Nico will gain. Next season we will wish he had played all of this season.
i don’t think that’s how it works

Huh?
I asked what his comment was directly referring to. . . was he singling out a particular position group. "They weren't taking their turns" is odd wording.
