You may be bitter, hungover, pissed, whatever

As a Vols fan, you're not as miserable as you've been
Damn. We have sucked.

Personally don’t think the ref issue gets fixed until the gamblers start bitching about it

But

You would think sankey would want better refs since we are the best conference and it’s flat out embarrassing with the way the officiating has been

It’s not even little stuff being missed it’s really blatant stuff being missed

There’s no accountability

It's fine to question. I enjoy the debate. I just trust Heupel more than a bunch of morans. He's not infallible. But, I think he knows QBs.

Agree and do trust CJH!

JM is just so frustrating that it's hard not to question. I feel like it falls squarely on his shoulders though.

Rewatch the last sack last night. If JM steps up in the pocket instead of retreating he hits a wide open man on a checkdown who's standing 1 yard past the 1st down line or tucks it and runs for 10 plus yards. You can coach that til you're blue in the face but it's ultimately on the guy on the field to process it correctly.

There was another play, can't recall exactly when it happened, that JM is flushed left and there is a wide open reciever on the outside running a go route with 2-3 steps on the db. He never sees him!

He seems to have one man he is going to consider throwing it to on every play and then just stares him down never looking for other options. Is amazing to me he hasn't thrown more picks.

The biggest issue to this moran is he just does not see the field. Yeah, he makes some off throws but, to me, the biggest fault is not seeing the open guys that he doesn't throw it to.

Obviously our biggest concern right now is reasserting our dominance over UK.

I'd say there's a 10% chance of us winning out to the UGA game, and UGA tripping up once. But there's still a chance. At let our fans and Neyland have that Georgia game with Atlanta on the line. It's college football, crazier things have happened. A month is a long damn time in college football.

The point is, the coffin isn't nailed shut yet. If Georgia trips up once, we control our destiny. That's more than we can say for any season before last year. How many other seasons have we made it to November with a path to Atlanta still on the table?

Laugh if you want, but the division is not decided yet. You might have to be uncomfortable cheering for Florida, Missouri and/or Ole Miss to do the unthinkable. But there have been Tennessee teams that did the unthinkable. There have been Georgia teams that did the unthinkable. Hold on tight.

Lol. As long as who Sankey wants winning is winning the refs aren't a problem to him. They're favoring exactly who he wants them to.

The part you're forgetting. Florida needs to lose 2 or it doesn't matter. The only way we make Atlanta is winning out, Florida losing to UGA and LSU and UGA losing to us and OM

And even IF the game vs UGA is not for Atlanta. I think we can all agree that a 9-3 or 10-2 season including a huge Georgia upset would be a tremendous success.

Most reasonable fans agreed that 8-4 would be acceptable and 9-3 would be a success.

9-3 with a chance to get a 10th win at a bowl is still a great season.

There are a lot of different paths that this season can still take where we can consider the season a success.

I hate to say it but I’m fairly certain 2022 was the peak for Josh Heupel and Tennessee and I doubt we ever have a season that matches that.
Amazing how quickly people forget how bare the cupboard was when Heupel got here. The fact that people are this beat up over a Bama loss is a massive testament to the shift in expectations we can attribute to his A+ rebuilding job.

Heupel is a fantastic head coach, doing things the right way, and he’s just getting started here.

That's a good point!

Florida could still lose 3 of these games, though.

Like I said, 10% chance that it all works out in our favor but if we take care of business that Georgia weekend could be monstrous.

Yea
We were bad
What CJH has done is honestly incredible
Not many other would have us where we’re at

100%. I def appreciate he and D White. But, as a C Suite. I hope everyone's jobs are re-evaluated every year, and those who are deserving are incented. And, those who arent, arent. Or, replaced.

I think Joey Halzle is a helluva coach. I simply question if he was ready for prime time.

I was trying to be for the 2-Pac every game, but I am tempted to root for Washington at this point, even if they are Big 10 or whatever they call it. Because it would be funny for the Pac-12 to make the playoffs and then immediately dissolve because their conference, in their own view, sucks. 😁
At this point, bring me all the chaos.

I think everyone’s Pissed mostly because of how we blew a 13-0 and then a 20-7 lead, especially when both fg’s were in goal to go situations. If we scored TD’s instead of fg’s I dont see how bama could have mustered the momentum to come back from 28-7

8-4 or 9-3 ill be happy with at this point, but if we go 7-5 then I will have some serious concerns about the program

I'd be a lot less upset about yesterday if the Florida loss didn't happen. The Florida loss with dominating the first half is what makes it so depressing. A trip to Atlanta is right there and they've choked it away twice.

The most effective thing about Birmingham stealing games in broad daylight for Alabama is that it is not reviewable.

The second worst thing is that fan bases turn their anger inward on their own team, and in no time convince themselves that it was their team's own fault that they lost.

That was the most crooked game in the history of games, and there is absolutely nothing we could have done to overcome that level of rigging. Whatever anyone wants to imagine we "coulda shoulda woulda" done or not done would have simply been flagged like everything else was flagged or given the blind eye treatment (whichever helped Alabama).

The fix was in. Nothing coulda shoulda woulda worked. Nothing.
^^^ This.

All it takes is a few key plays to officiate a team to a win. It can be by commission or omission. B'ham knows this along with every honest football fan in America. Yesterday, they had to go Captain Obvious because their Bama/UGA cash cow was in trouble.

Honestly, i wish fans would stop calling it the SEC because it is not anymore. When you expand to add Mizzou, two Texas schools and Okie - you are not a southeastern conference. At best you are a Birmingham dictated, mega market conference. So just call it the B-Ham Conference and forget it.

Adding Texas and Okie only assures more "buyers" into the corrupt system. Great, more oil money buying players, B-Ham and officials. Hopefully, people realize by using part-time officials provided by B-Ham their full time jobs are subject to change and improvement. Right? Please tell me people really understand how this works. It goes on in every P5 conference and has for decades. It continues and gets worse every year the current system operates. That part is easily solved, but do you see anybody in power asking for it? Nope.

It happened in the OSU/PSU game yesterday. It happens in every game of significance. It will happen all of today in the NFL. They have no desire to change how it works because it is all about money and control.
