You do realize that Florida only has one SEC loss, and is, therefore ahead of us in the SEC East standings. Right? Where is their schedule? We don’t control our destiny even if GA loses a game before playing us. We need Florida to lose again. Florida beating Georgia doesn’t help us.Our next 4 weeks:

Obviously our biggest concern right now is reasserting our dominance over UK.
I'd say there's a 10% chance of us winning out to the UGA game, and UGA tripping up once. But there's still a chance. At let our fans and Neyland have that Georgia game with Atlanta on the line. It's college football, crazier things have happened. A month is a long damn time in college football.
The point is, the coffin isn't nailed shut yet. If Georgia trips up once, we control our destiny. That's more than we can say for any season before last year. How many other seasons have we made it to November with a path to Atlanta still on the table?
Laugh if you want, but the division is not decided yet. You might have to be uncomfortable cheering for Florida, Missouri and/or Ole Miss to do the unthinkable. But there have been Tennessee teams that did the unthinkable. There have been Georgia teams that did the unthinkable. Hold on tight.
Highlighted the only thing that matters in the above. If only there were people who's responsibility it were to seek out, research, sign, and develop said players. Further, to put those players, schematically, in best position to make plays. What if those persons were paid high six and seven figure salaries to do this, hypothetically speaking - of course.
At this point, with the tools this school has and its resources we should play second fiddle to no one. Georgia and Bama have several class leads on us. But no more excuses. If its an execution issue, and its a player issue. This is Y3. Halzle is the QB guy. That's on him. If its a talent issue, they've had plenty of time to find other QB's. Also on him. There has been plenty of time to build OL and DL depth.
Halzle is unimpressive thus far. OL coach is on a short leash. Garner does more with less, but, its time to upgrade our talent there - and we have. But I dont see any help in this class.
At the end of the day, we are 5-2. And admittedly, my take is scathingly hot. But, I've been consistent in that message. I do think before a change is made, we should wait until the EoS.
I think we beat KY, but after UGA and potentially Missouri. Things could get ugly.

And yet you will still watch the games... For some reason. The most effective thing about Birmingham stealing games in broad daylight for Alabama is that it is not reviewable.
The second worst thing is that fan bases turn their anger inward on their own team, and in no time convince themselves that it was their team's own fault that they lost.
That was the most crooked game in the history of games, and there is absolutely nothing we could have done to overcome that level of rigging. Whatever anyone wants to imagine we "coulda shoulda woulda" done or not done would have simply been flagged like everything else was flagged or given the blind eye treatment (whichever helped Alabama).
The fix was in. Nothing coulda shoulda woulda worked. Nothing.
Agree with this post wholeheartedly. My one thing Re:Nico is does he have the potential to elevate the play of those around him?Joe isn’t “Josh’s guy” he’s our 6th year qb who was recruited out of high school by Michigan more than half a decade ago. Last year, when coach recruited Nico to Tennessee, he established that Nico is his guy. Joe is a very solid QB, but of course we expect Nico to be great & he will, in time. He’s 19. We don’t have to burn Nico’s redshirt when our issues don’t singularly land on the QB’s head. They just don’t. WR’s have been suspect this year. RB’s effective. Rhythm matters and when you can’t get into a rhythm because guys aren’t catching balls and the refs aren’t making calls, calls we were getting last year specifically defensive pass interference, it makes it very difficult for anyone, Joe, Nico, or otherwise.
Nick Saban raised enough fuss over the off season to reasonably affect how this conference (and seemingly nationwide) penalizes defensive pass interference. A penalty we got 3 times/game on average last season and a penalty we haven’t hardly seen all year. It’s hard to justify certain play calling when you know certain balls are riskier because DB’s can play physical with no repercussions. We are in a situation where we are learning the new rules as we go and for a team with our offensive identity it’s more difficult than others. Hence why we’ve all of a sudden got one of the top rushing attacks in the league. Our coach is smart and is finding ways to win around the new rules.
Let’s hope next year we at least get an updated official rule book so we can game plan the actual rules of the game and be able to put Nico in a real position for success. Are they going to call DPI? Did we watch Arizona State? It’s getting ridiculous

I got you, brah. Just pull over if you have to vomit. As for Milton. He is not Manning or Hooker. But he also isn't JG or Crompton. He gives us the best chance to win and I support him. We saw improvement on the road yesterday. Will we play in another road environment like that the rest of the year? No. Do we get our toughest remaining opponent at home? Yes. Even if we decided to change QB's do you think it would happen (outside of injury) prior to Georgia?
Look, I was hoping for 10-2 this year. More than likely we will be 8-4 with a good bowl. We need our freshman to get bigger and understand the schemes. Even our freshmen on defense are making costly mistakes against our better opponents. When you are forced to play freshmen, you are probably going to lose. WE MISS PILI BIGTIME!
I'm signing off now. I have to drive a van full of smelly soccer players across GA and back to Florida. It is literally the only time I wished masking rules were back. Freaking cleats are migraine inducing. Pray for me. Go Vols. Beat Kentucky!
Mr Met and Drvenner, you are back on the clock and thank you both for carrying the flag!
Hey, you said we were going to run the table in 2019 and we did. I need you to say that again, please.I wonder how much of an effect it has on us when we see that we are blatantly getting screwed by the refs. I know it shouldn’t be an excuse, but these are 18 to 22-year-old kids. I’m sure it has to be hard to feel like you’re up against the mountain and not being given a fair chance. I wonder how much that affects the coaches and their play calls, as they try to protect Things from getting worse.
I mean...we outgained them by 50 yards, had more 1st downs, and won the TO battle. That feels like putting it modestly. The LSU game feels like an outlier at this point. Our last 4 SEC road games have been complete eggs. Concerning some for the long-term future.
I think his 4th down play selection bugs me more. I'd like to see us try the QB sneak again. He also needs to at least try and draw the defense offsides tooI took last nights loss hard. We went out on the boat yesterday so I had to record the game and was watching it on delay. By half time, I got the cigar out and was feeling pretty damned good (thanks in part to good alcohol, naturally).
To lose like we did hurt.
Day after and I’m still annoyed but just want to fast forward to next week. Give me wins vs Kensucky and Missouri and I’ll be happy. This was always going to be a transition year. The homer in me thought Joe was capable of more.
One thing I will say - I love Heupel but he makes some very questionable decisions sometimes. No coach is perfect but his decisions to go for it on 4th down and his short yardage play selection have been terrible this year.
Ok. This is exhausting. To quote the great @Chuckie 'just this side a the hi-way' (I) 'aint got time tuh **** wi-youu.'Highlighted the only thing that matters in the above.
Sabans had 12 or so consecutive top 5 classes.
And you don’t see any help in this class!
That says pretty much all you have to!
We don’t know who all ends up in this class, so you’re pretty much jumping to conclusions on that like most of the other stuff.
So, we have been at .500 or better 5 times in the last 15 years and Heupel accounts for three of those times (all 3 years he's coached)? Yet, there are still people on here who think they know better who should be starting at QB? Got it.Here is our record through the Third Saturday in October in the post-Fulmer era:
