Then it’s time to stop being status quo, and make a stand! We are Tennessee! We are one of the founding members of this conference! Make a stand that we want fair officiating every single game, no matter where it is played, and no matter what is on the line. If the SEC does not want to give us that, then tell them we will gladly take all of our money and support to a different conference that would love to have us! It’s sickening to me that our great university and leadership, as well as our team and coaches, know exactly what is going on, and we will not make a bigger stand than this! No wonder we roll over and clam up when things start to happen the way they did in the second half yesterday. They all know that there’s no way to stop it no matter what we do. What a disadvantage those guys are at before the game even starts in some of these games! It’s ridiculous!
Politics and money. UT has no desire to leave the SEC, and DW and DP are unlikely to censure publicly. It would have to come from Randy Boyd. IIRC, UT gave up 26 and 27 uncontested points against UF and Bama -- two heated rivalry games-- which does not effectively counterpoint the narrative that UT was outplayed and outschemed in two uncompetitive losses.

UT is a school that goes along. I don't think Randy is at all afraid to speak up, but UT has been handcuffed by the NCAA investigation. UT needed Sankey's support and got it, because it benefited the conference. That’s over, but UT remains an out of favor program. The conference has been displeased with UT in multiple sports and has made an example out of UT numerous times. UT needs to get its power back. Sankey may not like UT, but we're a Big 6 School and can make him respect our value. I think we'll do that.

KY and Mizz games are gonna be dogfights... Sure hope the team and this staff learned from yesterday's BS and use it to improve and build on the rest of the season. On paper we have a better roster/advantage over both, but they are away games and well.... we suck away from Neyland and they both will be smelling blood.
Heup better have someone in the box from now on in his ear during offense drives and I hope we do better at actually making adjustments during the game. We have the talent to win out believe it or not, but it's just a matter of the staff doing their job, the team executing, and us beating the officials every F'n game.

Whoever calls another 4th and 1 out of the shotgun should be fired on site.

Hope Mincey is okay and we can get Pili back by the end of the month...

Yup. Just keep improving, step by step, and eventually they won’t be able to hold us down.

I've said for the last few years the best way to fix this is to leave this corrupt conference. With expansion this league isn't what it used to be. Traditions are going by the wayside. There's not a better time to do it.
Yeah but where to? It’s pretty much going to be SEC or Big 10.
And that’s no better

There's money to be made in other conferences. Part of the value of the SEC is because of Tennessee being apart of it. Even Skanky wouldn't want to lose the Vols.
Go to Big 12..not joking best fit...I wouldn't want to be in the ACC with freaking Clemson and FSU...talk about home cooking...

Compared to 2022:

We gained 163 fewer yards

Alabama gained 211 fewer yards

(+38 net yards improvement for us YoY)

Vs 2021: Alabama gained 215 fewer yards

We gained 57 more yards this year

(+272 improvement for us over 2021 - Heupel's first season)

Vs 2020: Alabama gained 229 fewer yards

We gained 102 more yards vs 2020

(+331 yard improvement over 2020 - Pruitt's last season)

This is only the 2nd time we've ever outgained Saban at Bama. 2009 was the other...a 2 pt loss. And, yes, obviously yards aren't what determines the winner, but it's clearly the best correlation to final scores that exist. There's still situational football, key plays, turnovers, and penalties. But gain more yards and wins will follow. This is a GREAT trajectory we're on.

Those thinking we'll get a fair shake at KY, or Missouri are sadly mistaken. If we're not getting calls, at home against the likes of UTSA, why would one think we'll get them away against another SEC teams. Skanky saw what Tennessee could be last year. Tennessee is a risk to their manufactured hierarchy, unlike KY or MO. They don't want to see a Tennessee as a national contender. They don't want Tennessee to be a threat. They're intentionally trying to keep Tennessee down.

Well..... This is really crappy then. Why stay with a conference that is this petty? We'll always be "out of favor" because the conference headquarters is 1 hour away from the biggest cheats in the NCAA and one of our biggest rivals. It's not going to get better, only worse. Yesterday should have shown everyone that, there are no consequences for corrupt officials or alabama. Besides, they still think they "owe" us over Philip Fulmer.

Just like Smyrna said last night, they want our money without giving us a chance to win anything relevant.

Need to flush this game and focus on Kentucky this upcoming Saturday.....I understand officials were horrible...but there isn't a dang thing we can do about it ....Onward and Upward....Go Vols..
"The org and conference is corrupt, so let's rabidly give them our TV views so they can keep making billions from it."

Very true. UT is a revenue producer that draws viewers with marquee matchups. Sankey values money and wants the moneymakers. But there is no internal support for UT leaving the SEC. We just need to take the SEC money and use it to get back to being a power program that won't be denied.

Does revenue sharing matter though? I'm sure the contract the SEC has is worth a lot more. ESPN has the SEC as their headliners, the ACC has to put games on the CW.
Well sure it matters. If the top tier teams share more of the pie then it may offset the overall shortcomings.

I know it's extreme but I'm sick and tired of skanky's corruption. It's criminal. It could be related to gambling. It should be investigated by law enforcement.
