That bama game was a back breaker. I’m completely bracing for a typical 3rd year Tennessee coach collapse. Promoted a position guy to coach our offense way too soon. Martinez guys still giving up terrible bombs at the most anti clutch moments in a game. Riding joe who played lights out first half but reverted back to the mean, which isn’t going to cut it.

My boss has been crowing since Monday morning when he got on the walkies first thing at 10:30 right before our meeting, “who watched the Alabama/Tennessee game?” And who needs the score? And then proceeds to broadcast it all over the building. Of course it comes up at his and mine Morning meeting. While he was crowing, I brought up the only penalty flag for Alabama that actually helped them. He proceeded to spout off the penalty deficit last year against Alabama and how they lost because of it. I’m so looking forward to retiring.

Alabama was one of the most penalized teams in the country last year because they were incredibly undisciplined, especially on OL. Of course, they whined all year that the only reason they lost to us was due to unfair penalties and make no mention of the fact that they were penalized consistently all year. There was no uptick in penalties for that game. They were a sloppy mess before we played them and after we played them.

Why would a new writer be big news? Reporters overestimating their own value?
