Fair points. I do feel like I've seen more "head taps" from our RBs this year (asking to come out). Ofc my own perception isn't a real data point...but assuming this is reality...then extra extra special conditioning should be a focus next year.Joe has missed some of those slants, but I think there are two bigger reasons.
Slower tempo and a gazillion red zone penalties.
Take 2nd and 3rd drive of the UK game. A holding call killed the 2nd drive where Milton would have scrambled for a first.
The second drive Wright gashes them for three runs of 11, 18 and 5 then subs himself out which let UK catch their breath, substitute, then we followed that up with a false start. Then there was a false start on a 3rd and 9 then a conservative play call.
Guys subbing themselves out when we've been rolling and red zone penalties I think are a huge reason.
Also fair point.our rushing success is based on spreading people out…. the closer we get to the end zone…. the less spread out the defense becomes and the less successful we are at running it.
In all honesty........So the Peay players are poor judges of character. He is a douche canoe.
Lol will never forget watching this with my stepdad from Michigan. Great guy and roots for the vols, but he has major "midwestern sensibilities".Sorry, double posted. I'll just drop this in here. Go defense!View attachment 592489
Tiger was really good.....but who was his competition???..Phil Mickelson..,..and Rory later on....
He's the second greatest player of all time...........IMO. Easy to say he's the best.......You’re not really trying to downplay Tiger Woods…
The way he acts on the sideline, you would never know it. Acts like a complete @$$. Doesn't line up with your assessment. In all honesty........
I know he rubs opponents fan the wrong way, but if you know him and are around him at all......you find out he's a great family man. Solid Christian. Great coach. Great person.
Peay is fortunate to have him.
Dickey stood his ground plenty of times against the NCAA….It varies depending on whether the team is on the protected list
But I was referring specifically to Michigan's own explanation of the grounds on which they fired Conor. One of the reasons was that he didn't cooperate with the NCAA. I'm saying if that's right, then Harbaugh needs to be held to the same standard as his second fall guy this year.
I'm glad Conor is out of the way. The media repeating that Conor and not Harbaugh was at the center of the scandal is an intentional deception imo.
That's good...Majors and that glorious 85 team did the same for me just as I got off the boat from Texas in my teens, and my pappaw was a good friend of Majors.Love the guy. His teams kindled my love for Tennessee. Golden years that seem hard to imagine will ever be reached again. And he did some things personally for me and my family that I’ll cherish.

Nicklaus did play against better competition, but Tiger would have been great in any era.
Watching Tiger hit balls in his prime (2000-2001) was a religious experience.
That was the point I made a horrible attempt to make ... competition in the 70's and early 80's was better... Not knocking Tiger just stating a fact....Lol Tom Watson was almost 50 when Tiger became ..a pro...and Segio Garcia was a head case on the course.....I was a big Watson fan and saying he was competition against Tiger at almost 50He's the second greatest player of all time...........IMO. Easy to say he's the best.......

I understand your fanhood began with another. Johnny was before my time, but I know the chronicles of Vol history and love him for what he did. Fulmer stands on the shoulders of what Majors did. So no I actually do not get your disdain for Fulmer. You’re choosing a favorite at the expense of hating the other. I don’t get that. That's good...Majors and that glorious 85 team did the same for me just as I got off the boat from Texas in my teens, and my pappaw was a good friend of Majors.
I understand younger Fulmer fans that think the golden years started with him...they didn't.
Johnny did what Heupel has done, the hard work of bringing the program back from being nuked into oblivion in the late 70s to national prominence...do you see what I'm saying and why I (and many others) was not ever a huge Fulmer guy?
