They're going to have to do it on the field. Sending post-game reports to the SEC is a non-starter. Interns can stack compilation tapes to the upper deck to no effect.
Somehow the post-game reports or selected highlights with video evidence need widespread public distribution on the internet.

Some way to go around the gravy-train media that is not interested in the truth.

Heup didn’t invent this offense…. it has been around a little while..I don’t think there has ever been a stud qb, wr, or RB play in the NFL… The closest has been RGIII( injured)…. Gabe Davis came close to a thousand yards one season….There is a perception that our guys are system players…. it won’t change until they start dominating in the NFL.
It’s not a carbon copy of Art Briles Baylor. It’s Heup’s innovation. Otherwise, why hasn’t Kendall replicated it’s success at any of his many stops? Why is Arkansas an offensive void? And in SIX SEASONS he’s supposed to present HOF/Pro Bowl level candidates out of UCF and NCAA investigated Tennessee? Tough crowd you are, Beast. 😏

I know it's not have TN has chosen to do things, but I wish multiple SEC coaches would go scorched earth in the media.
Dorkwitz last week, Lane this week, Heupel next.
Jimbo could've earlier in the season.
Then at media days next year keep firing shots. Make it obvious to the media what's going on.
I really think it’s going to take Texas getting jobbed in a big game against Bama or Georgia for anything to change. The current members have tolerated this stuff for too long for me to think they’re ever going to take any bold action.

Kelly should be raising hell about the dirty hit and no-call on a leading Heisman candidate.

He never misses a chance to diminish Heupel any way he can.

I dont see Texas having that kind of pull.
This isn't the B12 we don't need them like they did.

1899 for me.
1986 memories. Would finish my shift at work, and run across Dayton Blvd to the Spur station. They kept their 1 liter glass bottles in the deep part of their fridge unit and they had a thin frost on them. I’d buy two and start drinking them while the ice crystals were still present. Never duplicated since they went to plastic.

True, but they don’t know that yet. And my hope would be that it might provide enough cover for some of the others in our league to raise their grievances.

It’s just a hope. I know nothing is going to change under the current configuration.

The media has access-- they're not doing anything with it. A few beat reporters have tiptoed around the issue, but most are choosing not to use their platform or their voice. Don't expect anything from the networks.

I know I should be worried about Missouri, but I’m not. CJH has beef with Missouri about how they did Barry Odom which he has a lot of admiration for when he was his boss at Missouri. Just look at the score of the first 2 meetings. 66-24 & 62-24. I know this is a new team and different circumstances, but if CJH can hang a half a hundred on them he will. The only thing that concerns me is how Banks plays on defense against the pass. Other than that and referees screwing us, I think we have the advantage in all the other areas on the field.

“Concern” away. I’m enjoying the best OL coaching since Fulmer under Majors.
Never said i didn’t like him…. I agree he is a great OL coach…. you don’t have to want everyone fired or praise everything that every coach does… It’s ok to be concerned that we have two transfers….3 Pruitt recruits starting… we have no viable back up lineman that we’re recruited by this staff…. It will probably work it’s way out or it could negatively affect games like it did this years Florida’s game.

I'd love to see a FOIA request of university emails for emails to sent to the SEC office. Surely those wouldn't be exempt, right?

There is no way in today's media environment that every single reporter has access to the complaints each school sends to the league office, yet none of those reporters are sharing it. 0% chance that's true. Is that what you're saying, or am I misunderstanding you.

Heck, that would be one of those most successful blog concepts of the year if someone just reposted all the complaints about officials. Every fan would love to see that and they'd make a ton of money. Saturday Down South would never just sit on that info, and neither would 99% of media people.

Surely I'm misunderstanding your post?

i didn’t go that deep into it…. yes… Heup has added some innovations and is one of if not the best at running this system….. the convo was about offensive skilled players jumping on board…. it is my take that once we start seeing guys successful at the next level then we will have guys jumping in the boat like crazy…. it is not just my opinion…. it has been used against us by other teams…. we also saw it repeated by nfl scouts during the draft process this past year.

It is obvious to the media, but they have to play along. CJH did his bit, his way-- little came of it. UT is not going to go scorched earth. Kiffin will Kiffin. Who knows what Dorkwitz will do. But really, a random voice here or there isn't going to do much.

Correct random voices won't do much, but multiple coaches from the Big 6 in the conference makes a difference. Epically if they embarrass the conference at media days.

We need alum to fund and launch media that is willing and capable of telling our side of stories, like most every other major college team has, above all AL and GA.

Our media is toxic, hopeless, and not local anyway. The KNS is a chain like Pizza Hut, Dollar Tree, McDonalds, and Walmart. Moreover, smirkers and trolls got hold of the Knoxville branch long ago.

Something like the weekly Nashville Scene of old (I haven't seen it in years but it started out brash and fun) could be established rather quickly, and needs to tell the stories that weren't told in UT football every week. They need to provide video and photographic evidence all the time. And establish a bank of evidence. They would need to be credentialed as soon as possible to attain access. They would take it as a badge of honor if the usual suspects snubbed them. Who cares?

But, also, I would think a competing local daily that had A+ sports news, analysis, and standard features would fly. Wouldn't people be willing to walk away from KNS, given the chance? Maybe just use all the tired ole sad-sack AP news for filler everywhere, and provide a regular stream of solid local (non-sports) features; this latter could come on over time. But go all-in on UT sports from the get-go.

In the meantime, we need dissemination through too many twitter sites to stifle.

He doesn’t WAIT to get what he has in top form…immediately! Took what was a sieve under Friend/Pruitt and got increasing production every successive season. We heard too long from predecessors that it took time and their own recruits to achieve success with that position group. Same as when he took 3 stars at Mizzou and roadgraded us. He keeps teaching and the quickest studies get on the field. Frustrating as it is for us recruiting fantasy football experts, the fact that an Ollie Lane who hung around for six seasons, starts over a four star redshirt freshman is testament to the pragmatic, result’s oriented system that encourages patience. If you’re the best on the roster, you’ll play! Whether Sid and Mortimer at VirginCampsdotcom coronated you with a suitable number of stars or not. Heup and Ellarbee are a package deal dating back to their time at Mizzou. Heup knows his OL coach will get the best and most ready big uglies on the field AND PRODUCING stat, while teaching and developing their successors at the same time…culture stuff. He’s followed him to every HC stop and to “concern” yourself that he’s replaceable is an exercise in time mismanagement. But don’t stop on my account. 😎

The bold I don't agree with, but you're not wrong with the rest.

2023: Shamurad Umarov #4 OT in class #114 overall prospect
2022: Addison Nichols #8 OT in class #180 overall prospect, Jeremiah Crawford #39 rated JuCo in class

And recruiting the portal has to count for something. Gerald Mincey, John Campbell Jr, Andrej Karic are all 3 guys Elarbee brought in himself and didn't inherit from previous staff.

3 of his top 5 recruits are in the 2024 class. He's starting to land the stars and with how he develops guys the depth won't be an issue. Ollie Lane and Dayne Davis wouldn't be seeing the field without Elarbee's coaching.
