Recruiting Football Talk VII

Heupel just may not be the guy after all. Get mad if you want, but he’s starting a trend of being blown out by average teams late in the season

Mizzou 2023 is not the same as USCe 2022. Mizzou is actually pretty good this year. Blow out is bad but Mizzou is still pretty good. They’re prob about to win 10 games while playing in the SEC. Like 2022 Vols did.

He isnt the only problem, but AP and Hubbs are not football experts FWIW

When the guys who see the team on a regular basis say the team is okay with limiting themselves with a player (Joe Milton), something is wrong and a change should be made by the coaches.

Here is the problem the coaches have outside of Milton, the secondary is unathletic and slow. They can’t make a change there because they know there will be a mutiny and senior players would quit. It sucks, but is why I’m ready for this junior and senior class to be gone (including Covid players - excluding d-line)

It’s fair to say Heupel has definitely elevated the program. Also fair to raise questions about the trajectory and terrible road results some vs mediocre teams. Next year will answer a hell of a lot of those questions.
The floor under Heupel is much higher than what we've experienced the last 15 years. His recruiting has been pretty good and the team has shown improvements...especially when you consider what he took over. I agree on next year answering some questions about if he can improve the areas where the program is still falling short. I think he will.

Take it all and throw it in the trash.

He was hampered like no UT coach ever has been. NCAA eyes, scholarship reductions, left with a SKELETON roster...we were CHEATERS and left in the TRASH.

Then we start with a borderline top-20 team talent. We're now ONLY at #16 lmao. Want to know who's around us?? UF, UNC, and Auburn, man they're KILLING IT!! 🤣🤣🤣

AND NOW, JUST NOW, WE HAVE B2B TOP 10 TYPE CLASSES COMING IN. OUR CURRENT CLASS BCR IS 70%+ 😅🤣😂 WE'RE JUST NOW BRINGING IN TALENT WITH CURRENT FR CLASS AND THE INCOMING 2024 CLASS.

CHILLL
Sing it louder. good post.

Brock Bowers is playing tonight. The fahr crowd are going to lose your mind because he's as bad or worse than that Mizzou running back. The one good thing, we will be at home.

Since we got blown out tonight, can they switch another game to the CBS game next week? It's inhuman to get beat like that while having to listen to Danielson ear**** me for 3 hours.

Let’s be honest. Outside of our guys just being athletes, have we once this year been impressed with scheme or play calling? Huge drop off from last year. Defense is the main issue once again causing bad losses. This is starting to look like a typical tennesse new hire trajectory. Next year is now going to show how we respond.

Couple of thoughts.

That was embarrassing.

We got whooped in ever area - offense, defense, special teams, coaching.

It was a complete dud. Scored 7 points in the second quarter and that was it.

Made way too many mistakes.

Embarrassing to try kick the FG and then miss.

This team lacked creativity and effort today. Just outworked at every position.

Georgia will not be any better. It will be ugly.

Love the team still but hated this game and outcome.
