Yeah we ran 57 plays to 75. 3 ENTIRE PLAYS in the first quarter. Hard to get in a rhythm when you aren’t on the field. Do you want me to feed you the TOP stats as well?

If you tip the scales at 354 lbs, and then lose 40 lbs - you have “improved”.

Do you think Josh Heupel is good at making in game adjustments? Does he use timeouts wisely? Does he make good choices on 4th down conversions?

This is not directed at you, as you should know I am pro Heupel, so everyone spare me the “turning on Heupel” rhetoric.

1) I have no idea. I don't believe fans, watching behind screens, are good measurers of "adjustments" or lack thereof. Fans overvalue these mythical "adjustments" imo.

2) Yes, mostly. Tends to use them aggressively.

3) Choices as in to go or not go? He's reasonable. I'd be closer to Kiffin-level GO, but jmo.

Or choices as in play calls? I don't think he uses QB sneaks enough at all. I dislike some of the play calls, yes.

Let’s be honest. Outside of our guys just being athletes, have we once this year been impressed with scheme or play calling? Huge drop off from last year. Defense is the main issue once again causing bad losses. This is starting to look like a typical tennesse new hire trajectory. Next year is now going to show how we respond.

I love Joe Milton for being a great teammate but he just isn't Hendon Hooker and between him and a pretty significant drop-off in our OL this year has severely hampered the passing offense. I don't know what happened today with the run game. We just played very poorly. No excuses.

Having Hendon Hooker pulling the strings and Jalin Hyatt blowing by everyone made everything look so much better. Hendon could overcome a less than ideal play call. Joe isn’t that kind of player.

That’s fair about adjustments. I just know football color guys talk about it all the time, and there has to be some evidentiary proof on the field that at matters. I agree, he needs to incorporate that sneak. I think he is absolutely HORRIBLE with timeouts and 4th down decisions.
