Is UT invested in providing the resources to be elite? Yes. People who say UT cannot do what UGA and Bama are doing are wrong. UT has done what UGA and Bama are doing. All of the Big 6 + aTm are willing to invest in elite programs. I will say UT is less ruthless and more committed to character, academics and winning "the right way" than some programs. And we have less media support.

Sure… Bammer and Georgia invest. It’s a constant fight for championships and for Tennessee to ever have a shot at one there can’t be weak pu$$y minded thinking of oh well we’ll settle for 8-4 in year 7 that’s all that we’ll ever get.

But for the reason above, we aren’t Bama and Georgia. We will never be.

Why do we compare our OL to the worst era in Tennessee… That 2012 line was pretty good though…. Fulton, Tiny, James, Thomas, and Robinson… It’s not just VQ but guys that have been over there watching practices. Numerous reports are saying that Addison will not be much of a contributor….Not exactly glowing reports about the majority of our other young players. It doesn’t mean that we won’t figure it out but it’s not a good thing that most don’t seem capable of helping us much.

Maybe I’m limited by PERSPECTIVE? I don’t see emergencies when there’s significant progress and the best OL performance in four coaching tenures. And these “reports” smack of talking heads desperately selling credibility and shoving their dinguses into anthills to generate CONCERN. And we buy it because they get really loud.

The rest of our competition has been pretty mediocre to bad. Missouri was really the only dynamic offensive team they've face and we know how that went. The pass rush started off like gang busters but it's been a nonfactor for a while now. The only time the defense has shown promise is when they've gotten pressure with 4. Doesn't take much DCing when you don't have to do anything but send 4.

CFB is high-stakes, and aTm wants to be a player. A school that invests the resources to field an elite team expects an elite team. The top programs and those that want to be are all-in.

You lost me. A subgroup of fans thinking UT is a perennial 8-4 or 7-5 program that should be happy with that has no bearing on the allocation of resources by an administration that publicly states the goal at the University of Tennessee is to win championships. CJH is Top 10 and Rick Barnes and Tony Vitello are Top 5 in HC compensation. They are being paid to win championships, top-down that is the expectation and they are onboard with it.

We grew a helluva lot last year. Leaps and bounds. Maybe a small step back, but roster is getting better.

I think we’re close to. I truly believe we have a scheme problem on defense and a QB issue this year. But Heupel promised Joe this year and he is getting it. Nico changes the whole
Offense because he is not limited. Chances are coming on the other side and I think we will see drastic improvement.

Yes and no for me. Last night stunk, but we've also won close games for TAMU and UK and got total revenge on USCjr.

Could have been worse, could have been better. We're just too banged up at critical spots and limited in others atp.
