Nico is a dude.

Numerous examples of RS freshman QB’s being good and he should be no different, imo. He will have his moments, but his running ability is going to elevate the offense.

To be honest, we really don’t know if that is true yet. I’m not trying to be negative but we’ve barely seen him play and even Milton looked like a Heisman winner in garbage time last year. Right now all we have is hope that he is as good as advertised.

What is the take with the Nico situation? Is he going to be as good as advertised? Or should we be concerned the offense next year might be just as rough?
He is an elite QB and he learns quickly. He can compensate for shortcomings around him. But we need to plug as many of those gaps as possible.

Obviously it’s an opinion. What we have seen is an ability to improvise, speed, a quick release, arm strength, and processing.

Heupel’s track record is VERY good with QB’s and they ponied up to get him on campus. I don’t need to see a large sample size to know what is likely coming.

there ya go. missouri's best defense is its trash atmosphere. reminds me of that made up City in England, Lower Uncton on Married with Children. Rains all day everyday. Pure Misery. See it? The corollary?

no one is excited to go there

I hate everything about their trash stadium, weather and overall athletic program. What an awful place to play football in the late fall. Could you imagine sitting on a bunch of cold, damp rocks on a hill to watch a game? I'd rather have raging hemorrhoids than endure that.

That’s fair. I’m just skeptical and I’m not personally ready to say he is “the guy” yet because of how little we’ve seen. I’ll remain hopeful obviously.

Stats don't always tell the story. Florida was better, Alabama was better, LSU was better than A&M, SC was better, Pitt was better than any non conference thus far. Need I go on?

Those are simply opinions. Nobody is gonna change your mind bc you’re basing your stance off opinion instead of actual data.

So no, no need to continue this convo.

Lol. Bama better last year? Surely you're not that clueless.
Florida?
A&M < LSU?
Pitt>VA, Connecticut, Peay?

Seriously?
You, maybe more than maybe anyone on this board, knows our D-Line has been held with impunity this year for most of the season. Now, suddenly, you’re going to act like they haven’t made any improvements over last season?

Come on, InVol.

Well out of what will be 39 games by the end of year you’ve named 7 total teams so yeah I’m totally convinced, how could I not have seen it your way the whole time

So fly before you walk? Anyone with the failed memory retention of what our OL was…no matter the talent level, dating back to the decline of Fulmer, should hit up Adam Sandler for a part in the sequel to 50 First Dates. “VQ acts” is it’s own comedy franchise when it comes to OL discussions. They’ve yet to meet an OT body they don’t want to convert to IOL. We’re a better running team than last season despite yesterday’s results. Some patchwork, some development and the commits we have are an infusion of talent. I’m a fan of the culture and development of this product…unabashedly.
Why do we compare our OL to the worst era in Tennessee… That 2012 line was pretty good though…. Fulton, Tiny, James, Thomas, and Robinson… It’s not just VQ but guys that have been over there watching practices. Numerous reports are saying that Addison will not be much of a contributor….Not exactly glowing reports about the majority of our other young players. It doesn’t mean that we won’t figure it out but it’s not a good thing that most don’t seem capable of helping us much.
