Also, the head Nutritionist doesn't have the proper balance between Proteins and Carbs.Everyone knew this was going to be a down year, but there are still some incredibly frustrating aspects that the staff could have easily fixed so that we dont choke games like Florida and Missouri. It is obvious we do not make halftime adjustments, or very minimal adjustments if that. That is something the staff needs to fix and work on. Another thing is the lack of development at safety, some of the botched zones on Saturday were because of the safety’s, however, we did NOTHING to fix it during the game. Our linebackers have regressed this year significantly. Idk what happened to Beasley, but It seems he has gotten worse as the season progressed. And same thing with Herring, bro runs like he has cement in his feet. And why did we not actively pursue a qb in the portal last year? We have 2 scholarship qbs, one of which isn’t ready to play yet, or so im told, and the other qb is a 6th year senior who cannot make checks at the LOS and cannot run our offense effectively. Why did we not try to get someone in to take over for Milton when he struggles if we dont want Nico to go out there? There needs to be some staff changes, particularly on the defensive side like Banks, Martinez, BJM, in that order, but also look at how bad our receiving core has been this year too, maybe Pope isnt the wr coach we thought him to be. And also, lets look at our S&C staff as well, we have been plagued with injuries the past couple of years, could some of that fall on our S&C staff?
I think two things are true 1) Halzle needs to grow and learn. 2) not having Hendon at QB put limitations on play calls.USF's records the last three years:
2020 = 1-8
2021 = 2-10
2022 = 1-11
2023 = 5-5
Alex Golesh is a hell of a coach. I think we sometime might not have factored that as much as we should have with our success last year. As Halzle improves, we will too. He is young and seems like a smart guy. He has a good mentor. I believe he will get better with his play calling and our personnel will certainly improve in years to come.
They got it right. If it went against us at home, I wouldn’t be thrilled…but I don’t know what my argument would be.
Covid made them panic and reset the whole thing with the fear that LSU was going to come calling. Michigan State panicked and extended Mel Tucker when LSU did come calling and LSU paid out the yang with the max to pry away Brian Kelly from Notre Dame. Lots of commas guaranteed to land/retain that ONE GUY to stabilize your program. Damn Covid.imagine paying 100 mil to a guy to win you a Natty like 3 years ago…. to still owe him like 75 mil and fire him…..
Can I get that retirement plan?
Bennett is a good coach but born too late for his off Broadway impression of Bob Knight.Stay in your lane and know your role perfect example of this is Reese Davis if you remember why he was afraid for his safety for the longest time and gameday not showing up here…the folks in these hills don’t play when it comes to s**ting on the state but in all fairness it was the correct call so not mad about it but I understand.
