Arnett got fired cause that offense couldn't move the ball. The defense was pretty dang good. Tho the numbers may not show that as they were on the field the whole game every week.

Not true at all…. our defense is on the field five more minutes per game than miss state and giving up 9 ppg less.

Arnett is

I like Arnett, but he’s not a clear enough upgrade. Better than Banks? Probably agree with that. This year he wasn’t calling plays so throw this year out and he has been pretty good 2 before, but you don’t fire your current guy who has improved each year to where he is now for a marginal upgrade. Annette best Defensive Efficiency score according to FPI was 76, that was last year. Guess what Banks is this year? 76. Needs to be a clear cut upgrade.

That may be true. All i know is that Ms State team couldn't score. Most State fans i know loved their defense

I'm not sure what people want. He took over a coal mine fire and has improved it quite a bit every year. .

I could see Banks being a guy that doesnt get fired, but just "moves on" to another job. Maybe finally makes the head coach jump at a small school. Who knows. When Misery torches you in embarrassing fashion its probably time to reevaluate.

they held the ball for 29 minutes per game while we had it for 24… personal opinions sometimes don’t match the facts.

we are 4th in the SEC in ppg allowed and have the offense that has the lowest TOP…. i don’t know what people are expecting…Looks like a guy that gets a raise…. not fired.
